Okay...revising my previous posting. Rick gave me the wrong month. He said it was supposed to be shipped today. He said it should be set-up and on the showroom floor by this weekend (sorry guys, no demo rides...its already sold). Daves, see ya in Pine Bluff on Sunday Mennis |

FWIW, I saw a 9S with a Wisconsin manufacturer plate on it at the Rock Store on Sunday. Press fleet? Anyway, it was pretty sweet lookin'! Like the 9R, it must be seen in person to appreciate. The cupholder doesn't look as bad in person but I imagine the appendagectomy some folks were contemplating will serve it nicely. I didn't see it with a rider or see it move. Looked mighty dandy, though... -Saro |

One more question, will this be the official thread for the 9S or will the 9R and 9S threads be one in the same? |

Saw one at the dealer today when I picked up my 9R (another story altogether). It's at Bumpus HD/Buell in Murphreesboro, TN. Looks sweet. I don't know if I shoulda waited or not. It was black. That plate holer looks really well made, but if it were mine it would have to go. Jody |

Mennis, Last week (Friday or Saturday) Rick wasn't sure (or couldn't say) when it would arrive. I thought he mentioned November, then sort of thought October, then a customer caught his eye and he had to go. It will be there when it gets there. Why do they always show up at the end of the riding season? Work in the winter, ride in the summer, that's how I'd run a bike company, but that's just me and probably why I don't run the company (nor even work there now nor probably never). |

Just got back from lunch. The 9S kicks ass! Everything a Buell should be. Really comfy too. It's so short you feel like there nothing in front of you when you sit on it. I like it a lot! |

I just got to sit on the first XB9S at Austin Buell. The seating position is so much more upright than my XB9R. Big difference in riding position. Rear fender does not look as bad in person, but I think most people will hack it off pretty quickly. |

Sometimes logistical planning and truck drivers don't play by the same rules. Let's see... Logistician: "Okay, we send this batch out first and according to Mapquest it's 40 hours driving time to the west coast, and about half that to the east coast, and truck driver's aren't allowed to drive more than 8 hours at a time, nor more than 16 hours in a 24 hour period or something like that. So, then, if we send out the second and third batch late this week all the dealers should get them on the same day or two." TruckDriver: "E.T. load here going to western states, leaving Saturday, should put me unloaded Monday am at the latest. Says unloading scheduled for Friday, dump that idea, kids birthday is Friday and I plan to drop these Buell crates off by Monday, Tuesday at the latest, and be back in Wisconsin with a return load to pay for the kids new bicycle by Friday morning. Logisticians don't know squat about the road." At least that what I might have heard at a truck stop someplace in NeverLand. |
