Hey guys, I have a SB9 front end on my S3T. I am putting a stock gauge cluster back on. I am guessing there is no way to run the speedo. Anyone? thanks, george |

You could change to a later transmission (with tone ring) and electronic speedo, driven off the output shaft...or if you know a really good machinist you could make enough space between the wheel and fork to get the drive inserted. There are also electronic aftermarket choices - a search should turn up some options for you |

99 and up should be machined for the stock sensor, the meters are the same 99 to 02 IFAIK, look above the output shaft area inboard IIRC the sensor is inserted there. |

Make the front end work? works awsome. I am not going to use the stock speedo, too much work to convert. I will continue using the aftermarket digital. thanks, george |

I have a 98 S3T with an XB front end too. I solved the problem by running a Digi-Beast speedo and made my own speed sensor mounted to the rear brake caliper mount. Works a treat 10000k's so far since the mod. Sorry about all the pictures

I got it from extreme creations here in Australia http://www.extremecreations.com.au/products.asp?vi ew=digidash. I really wanted to go with the dash off the new KTM 690 Duke, I still may in the future. |
