Matt, You're done????????? Congrats. Anyway, I am going to put this one out now. My Birthday is Oct 1, and is on a Wednesday so I won't be able to do anything really and the kids still have school. I wan't to get a ride in either the Sat before or the Sat after. I prefer the Sat before so that I have a chance to do it all day, but if we can't the following Sat will be half a day. Let me know though, this month is going by so fast. |

just got back from NN. hmm... maybe when my gear dries. the living museum was super cool! (i kept thinking about dropping a line into the open fish tanks) i liked it a bit more than the va beach aquarium... but they got the stingrays, and they're closer to me. they are both a good time especially with the kids in-tow. |

Just chill'n, making sure nothing flies away. Me and the wife got a babysitter for tonight and are going to dinner. Any recommendations. We were thinking of Havana's by our house or that fish place(I think it is Fish Bone or something) over by Sam's Club. |

Depends on what you like David, the wife and I like Sumo's Japanese steakhouse, it is right beside Circuit City on Independence, they have Hibachi and the service has been great every time we go in there and the portions are huge. Jimmy |

the melting pot is always a good time, and there's a hibachi place right by it, too (a bit pricey)... if you haven't left yet |

Alright fellas need a little bit of help, so here it goes. I got Beckys bike put back together (changed the bars out and put new throttle cables on) but the bike still pulls to the left. I made sure the forks were aligned properly (they were off a little bit) and that helped some what but it is still pulling to the left. Any ideas what it might be? I am thinking either bent forks or maybe even a bent rim not real sure though. If you all have any suggestions it will be greatly appreciated. It is driving me insane not being able to figure it out . It is not even that bad but I know it is there ad cannot let here ride it like that. Jimmy |

if i had to blindly guess, it gets expensive. perhaps your sense of balance... |

Jimmy A bent wheel will cause a vibration and depending on the severity of the bend at what speed it would first be noticed. Matt may have a point make sure you are on a flat road(no crown) and maybe have someone els ride it to see if it pulls for them also. Mike |

oh, and i'll be re-wrapping my headers shortly. they didn't hold up so good in the rainy ride back from NN. |

Nilliace (Matt)....I've ridden mine (in the rain) with the header wrap from Advance Auto and its still holding up fine. It may be that the thick header wrap is holding more water and is breaking it down faster. Try the 1" wide wrap..its thinner and doesn't hold much water and then spray it with the hi-temp silicone paint. Its nice out today....may go for an afternoon ride. Goody |

i'll give you that, but it's sorta my fault too. i rushed my self, and didn't deep it as tight as it should have been just before the D&D "muffler", where it gets the most abuse ...it was doomed from day 1 |

+1 Not likely a bent wheel. With the rotor mounted to the outside, a bent wheel makes the brakes do very bad things.(the white R had one when I got it) When you say "pulls left", does that mean when you let go it turns left?? Like pushing on the left bar? Start with the simple stuff. Double check the suspension settings to make sure they are the same on both sides. Very sensitive on the short bikes. |

Most likely the forks may be tweaked or mis-aligned. This has happened on my dirtbike many times. If the forks are bent you will know it when compressing the forks up and down. Put the bike on a stand to align the forks and triple clamps. If you align them with the bike on the kick stand, it wont be accurate. Just my 2cents. Worse case scenario is mis-alignment from front to rear wheel...bent frame. sorry |

I had it on the lift yesterday when I aligned them. Yeah it is like you are pushing on the left bars whenever you let go it goes to the left side. I am thinking maybe bent forks, if that is the case it will be getting a set of the 09 black ones. Jimmy |

Jimmy...I know it would be a lot of work but if you have another set of forks (xb12) try them and see if it cures the pull. Im assuming you still have the xb12. Goody |
