Ok, I saw a picture yesterday that showed a Tuber with the standard Tuber wheels, but and XB rotor/caliper attached. How does one go about doing said mod, and can I do it with my PM Wheels? I don't know when I'd get to that, but...you know, it sure looks cool. |

That was one of two things. A one off job where they welded bungs to attache the XB rotor and a custom bracket to attache the caliper OR They used to sell an inverted setup like the XB brakes for tubers back in the day. I forget the name of the kit but it had a three spoke tuber style rim. Rex has it on his M2/3 it is a small pic but you can kinda see it.

Yea, it was a dual disc setup I believe. So those welds held up pretty well eh? |

You may want to PM Rex and ask him, I am sure the wheel was cast and machined like that. Either way welds, if done right, will hold. Hell 100% of your cars unibody is spot welded together... |
