For those with bar end mirrors, the cheapest block offs that I have found are about $65. That's pretty steep for a damn plate where the jap bikes you can get them for $15. Anyone do anything creative with the holes that are left from the stock mirrors? I'd rather not just plug them due to this being a fasten point for the fairing on the 9r. |

Thanks...nice find. I didn't see that thread when I searched. Looks like a clean/cheap fix. |

I thought about the spikes but didn't know if they would look good coming from the stock mirror location. |

We sell them for $54.95. The reason they are so expensive is they are made in the USA and are hand polished. We simply don't have the economy of scale that the makers of accessories for Japanese bikes do. I also do not want to make anything in China. I want to keep Americans employed. http://www.darkhorsemoto.com/html/mbop_0.html Keith DarkHorseMoto, LLC Protecting and Propelling Buell Motorcycles |

I just went to home depot and got some 1/4-20 stainless button head bolts . They match the ones in the fairing. |

It would have to be comedic to see a set of the made in China items mentioned in comparison to the artwork of Dark Horse Moto. The old adage that "you get what you pay for" is so true. |

This is what I say to cleaning my bike.........

Shouldn't you be depicted flipping off the car wash or the hose and bucket instead of all of us? |

I may just go with the spikes. Thanks to the idea/permission given to me by the dirty bike guy I replaced my fairing button heads with spikes as well. It's easier to keep a black bike dirty. My whites look nasty if I don't them clean. |

Jesse - Yes, we can do the block off plates in black powder coat. Thanks Jim! I'll remember that the next time I see you! Keith |
