S&S has no-one to blame but themselves if they are having financial problems. The company has went absoulutely down the toilet lately as far as customer service to their dealers is concerned. For example- It took me over 5 months to get a returned part credited properly to my account. I also ordered a complete bottom end and was sent a crankshaft recently!!
I have heard one of the original founders ons recently took over S&S and he is running it into the ground!!
Ok hear is what I found out the guy does not work for Aprillia he is as I thought a pile of dung. He was mad at the local Aprillia salesman for not giving him anything on a trade in he had. I also called the other Aprillia dealer and said there was a corprate guy up in the hawks nest he said that the dealer was selling tuono's and mille's at below msrp the guy stuttered and said no I don't even have any he then asked me who this guy was, He said I sold a guy like that a mille he was an •••••••. The other dealer called me back with his name I am currently checking what I can on the guy maybe I will try to have corprate aprillia or someone who sounds like them a call.
Moral of the story is be careful who you talk shit to in this day and age the world is at our fingertips
There are, in this world, that subset of persons who having achieved little of note or bearing mention in their own life seek to make themselves appear shinier by verbally tarnishing the shine of others.
Fortunately, to our common benefit, their means are so laughable and transparent as to do little more than remind us of the splendor of of the accomplishments of those they seek to diminish.

I can attest to that. I wanted to order a special application crankshaft and they couldn't even quote me a price. Buell got my business instead.
A locknut on one of their pushrods snapped and they wanted to charge $27 for a pack of five plus shipping for a damn $1.50 nut. The hardware store got my business instead.
