I went to the 95th and the 100th. I don't have any interest at all in going to the 105th for all sorts of reasons. I hate to be the negative guy, but I am kind of sick of supporting the HD marketing bandwagon. Jeff | ||

Celebrating the end of that color, good bye Anniversary Copper/Bronze/Pale Penny and good ridance to the committee that choose it as the color. Did QueeR Eye for the Harley Guy make a color selection ?>! I really hope somebody in charge of that got sacked. | ||

I was just at Suburan HD a few minutes ago. Vinnie (the x builder from OCC) and Cody are there promoting Vinnies bikes. Alot of Buells, especially tubes. | ||

I haven't seen any information about Buell's factory tours or demo rides. Where is the demo's taking place at? I do know that Bubba Blackwell is doing his stunt shows at Miller Park in Milwaukee. | ||

Don, Go to Harley's schedule of events, I believe the factory tour for Buell is today. The demos are at Statefair Park, I think they go on all weekend. | ||

did any of you guys get together and ride as a group during the festivities? i saw a group of about 10 buellers riding north on 45 in the wauwatosa area on thursday afternoon. mainly XBs and one or two 1125s | ||

I was up in Milwaukee both Friday and Saturday. I went to State Fair Park and saw the demo's but didn't ride any. Went to House of Harley where they had the street blocked-off for all their vendors and tonight I went and saw Bruce Springsteen. Great show and good time! They had all the new Buells on display at both the demo's and at the lake front part where the bands played. They said that Erik was at the demo's on Friday but not today. Ukes had Buell's stunt riders "Team Extreme" performing all weekend and I saw them three different shows. Pretty wild and crazy guys on those XB9's. | ||

Did you hear what the owner of Uke's was saying about Harley buying MV?? According to him, Buell is old news in Harley's eyes and could be seen as being phased out in the near future. Those weren't his exact words, just the sentiment. He was an announcer for Fox 6 and said this on the tv broadcast of the parade. (Message edited by buellinachinashop on August 31, 2008) | ||

My experience with the H-D event. One High risk stop of a Caddy Escalade for a subject with a weapon, and citation of two H-D employees for assault. (Don't assault someone and wear your company ID.) Work on the North side and must say that it really was not bad, but we only got one Dealership in the Distict. A few riders/ groups even were kind enough to wave, and ALL were respectful of me during traffic stops and changed lanes if they saw me on the side. A little messy, but not to bad at all. | ||

I had a lot of people standing around my bike at gas stations and restraunts here. Especially when I start it. "That thing sounds bad ass"..."can I ride it?", looks mean and fun as hell" The Coup de Gras.."Erik Buell should build Harley a bike, they should have never given up on the VR program." | ||

"Did you watch the Fox6 broadcast? " NO, I don't watch tv! I'd rather be riding my motorcycle instead. What was Fox6 news from Milwaukee doing in Kenosha anyway? There are several dealers closer to Milwaukee to go and get an interview from. as far as Buell being old news for Harley, they did purchase them 10 years ago so I guess that would make it old news! But any notion of Buell going away is non-sense! Buell makes a great American made motorcycle and is gaining in popularity both in the United States and abroad so it's not going away! What Buell needs to do is ramp-up production because the new motorcycles are needed in the dealer's showrooms. Ukes only has four Buells on their showroom floor and two of them are demos. They have a shippment coming in this coming week but none will make it to the floor because they are already sold. I don't see many Buells at any other dealers either. Harley has done a much better job of getting the new 2009 motorcycles to their dealers than Buell has. The new Buells are nice looking but if you have to go to a track event or a Harley 105th party to see them and no dealer has any to sell, I see that as a problem. | ||

"Buell is here to stay." Somebody should tell Keith from Uke's that, because it sure didn't sound like it. If a person in his position says something "iffy" like that, then it will be taken different ways and Buell/HD should say something contrary to it. Even the Fox6 people were taken back by it. Sounds as though another dealer was spouting off about things he doesn't know anything about, which doesn't come as a surprise to me. | ||

My Dad got into the Harley Museum on Sunday for free, Turns out there were unclaimed free tickets? Anyway, while there he said he saw a few Buells, but no tubers. He is not a huge Buell guy, so I was wondering if anyone else got in to take a look. | ||

There's a RR1200 in it. There'll be a lot more, even tubes, when they get more bikes restored. |
