Bike is dead. Stone cold dead. Turn the key, nothing happens. Ugh. Today would have been a PERFECT day to take the 1125R out for a spin. I'm so pissed I don't even feel like going for a ride on the Uly. |

You had better get that bike running and out of "Dodge" (or so to speak). Aren't you under mandatory evacuation notice with that hurricane? |

That sucks bro. I dont trust these batteries, so it goes on the tender quite often, especially if Im planning a ride. The good thing is its a three day weekend, two more days to ride. |

some people are evacuating, but since i ride around in a vehicle with lights and sirens on it, i'll be sticking around. instead of going for a ride, i'll just spend the day prepping my house. |

Yup I am watching the storm a well.. It looks like it will come close to me as well. I am just east of Baton Rouge so hopefully I will miss the worst of it. I refuse to ride mine right now with the love bugs everywhere those things are a pain in the ass to clean off the bike. |

so i tried to do a jump start. nothing. absolutely nothing, turn key on, nothing happens, no lights, no fuel pump cycling, nothing. turn key to the parking light steering lock setting, and the license plate light illuminates, barely. nothing else works. |

Zack try putting it on a charger and leaving it for a while to get caught up |

That's bizarre... then the problem has to be something more sinister than the battery (but your battery may also be dead). Hmm... maybe the starter? (Message edited by pariah on August 31, 2008) |

made it through the storm and waiting on power at the house. work power came back last night. minimal damage at my place, a few water leaks along the ridgeline during sideways rain and branches all over. are you going to the Indy GP? tim |

Good to hear things didn't get too bad and you didn't get too much damage. We are leaving for Indy next Friday morning. My B-in-law and his two sons (10 & 13). Bill is riding his Concours, and I'm taking my ST1300. Hard to beat that V4 and all my farkels for two-up riding comfort. She even does REAL nice in the twisties. Are you going? Will you be passing through here? Let me know if you need anything. Later Neil S. |

Just made it back online today from the storm. I don't think my bike was this clean when I bought it form the dealer. Nothing to do with no power but clean away! |

Hey man, Glad to hear your made it thru. I'm really hoping Ike takes a more northerly route after he heads under FL so we can have some fun here in Pensacola. All the damn storms keep avoiding us! |

You really don't want it. It sucked not having sewer and power for 3 days shitting in a bucket and showering outside under the hose. I learned quickly don't shower after dark our parana mosquitoes will drain you quicker than a vampire |

Haha sorry to hear eddie. I'm actually used to field conditions so I think it's fascinating to watch the people around you during instances such as yours. Glad you didn't get completely drained though, and that it sounds like you have power and water back. I'm also kinda lucky where I am. Apparently we're on the hospital power grid, and so if pensacola does lose power, we are one of the first to get it back |
