Hey Derek - a number of us are within 30 minutes of Worcester. Not too many twisties in Worcester...I have a couple of nice sets of them from Grafton to Hopkinton and a few over by Purgatory...but then I may still be comparing quality to NY and GA. |

I'd defintely be up for some NH rides (I'm in Fitchburg). Central and western MA does have some twisty roads, the problem is the crappy road surfaces I was in N. GA about a month ago... forgot how great some of the roads down there are... I grew up about 60 or so miles west of Suches |

To the best of my knowledge, unless you have a real early build date '08, you're bummin'... just as I am with my '09. It's gonna be up to the factory to straighten 'em out... only the first 08 models ( ecm BUEOD0CB 06-04-07 ) are tunable with ecmspy. Everything newer than that and you are screwed.... As far as I know; ALL 2008 models and newer use the new DDFI III FI system which DOES NOT perform/work like previous versions in any way, shape, or form. At least from what I have read. I am NO technician (thank god) just a motor/gear head. Personally I wouldn't mess with it. (Well maybe I would, I cant leave anything alone) But only to figure out how she "Ticks". You guys have enough issues with the later 2008's & Newer bikes as I see it. you'd be playing with fire in untrotted territory if you ask me. If you go messing with it, let me know when it breaks; so i know what NOT to do... (Message edited by firebolteric_ma on August 29, 2008) |

Central and western MA does have some twisty roads I'd be up for a good ride to see the "Central" part twisties! Or...Carl's? And that road in Union,Ct i've been meaning to ride? Keep up the good work on the "FI" diagnostics.I may need you someday... |

Eric's got the foolproof setup for changing 'em. I've done a front and three rears at his shed and am yet to scratch my rims. As for balancing, I dunno. All those tires and I've never balanced a thing and haven't seen any uneven wear or bumpy ride. Oh yeah- my boss said the survey team (Eric) is on their way home. |
