Can someone just add the K & N filter and an after market exhaust and not do any tuning? Or is tuning a must? I have heard that by removing the air filter alone you can gain 8hp. I have also read that by adding a Saron exhaust you can gain 8hp with no tuning. Can the stock ECU adjust for one only or both? Is the programmable ECU from Buell Racing the only available system. Working on getting one ready for Dayton in October and want more power but did not want to spend $ on Buell Race Tuner and dyno time. |

the only other system I'm aware of the Remus Powerizer from Trojan. The stock ECU can only make adjustments globally, whatever changes it made would be "perfect" for a given rpm range. I would guess that with a pipe and filter that the bike would be lean. Dangerously so? I can't answer that. |

I can see how you'd miss it, they hid it at the top of the 1125r category. http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/prods/283.html |

I haven't ever heard from any customer who'd actually used a Powerizer, but when I was considering one for my XB, Matt assured me that it worked well and hadn't had any complaints. |

Arillius13, I am very interested to see how that works out for you. I haven't decided on exhaust yet, still looking inside the stocker. |
