Thanks guys... Glendale HD was fine I guess... not particularly nice to deal with (especially their parts dpt), nor were they open to any negotiation at all... but overall it was ok... all I cared about was to sign the paper and ride away! I`ll def keep you guys posted on fuel economy... so far so good! |

That 09 is truly beautiful. I love the black cases. The charcoal cannister doesn't stick out as bad as it does on the previous 12's with the magnesium cases. Very cool FZ. |

Yeah I was stoked when I saw they blacked out the frame and forks for '09... that's the main reason why I did not buy used Caféelite: charcoal cannister to meet CA emissions standards... I hear it`s easy to get rid of, but it doesn`t bug me... |

How did you mount the Mirrors on the stock bar end? did you slide all the controls inwards? how about the little anti rotation tabs and holes on the bars |

Did not move the controls... just clamped directly on the stock barends... they fit just right. I may get the CRG adapters if I see any problems, but it looks solid. |

The Buell looks kick ass!!!!!!!! I'm drooling over here!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! My last bike was an 04 FZ6!
Damn good bike, but that was before I was passed by a Buell one day......then it all changed, HEHE! Welcome to the Buell way of life! hold on, it might be bumpy, but it sure as hell will be a pure blast! -Robert www.xblights.com |

Thanks Robert! I couldn`t wait for the FE, so I made my own... it took some serious cut-off wheel action to chop that rear fender... it came out good though, so I am happy... I even cut an opening below the taillight so the running light can shine on the license plate (no here yet).... stock turn signals were relocated higher on the bracket, all it took was to drill a couple of holes. Lots of cutting, sanding and painting, and I think I am done (pipe maybe) :cheers

It wasn`t hard per se, but it wasn`t easy either you motivated me to give it a shot though thanks! I removed the belt cover too, only to realize there was a back plate behind it... I nearly destroyed the torx tool trying to unscrew one of the screw holding the back plate, so I need to go buy a proper torx tool. Anyway, looking at your Ss model, the difference in height is pretty obvious with the Scg... I wonder if it rides any differently. |

Yea I really love how low the scg's are. And I'm sure they corner better. But I'm 6'3" 240lbs and I just don't fit on the smaller scg or the s. That back plate was kinda hard to get out around the belt, but I love the way it looks without the covers. |
