I've joined the dark side and traded good old CityX 2.0 in on an 1125r. She was a good steed, but the 1125r is such a different beast I couldn't resist when the dealer knocked 2 grand off msrp. Plus the $675 free gear deal from Buell. I'll still throw my two cents in around here, just wanted to let every one know what was up. Ride safe everyone!

Everything had to be ordered. The dealer I bought it from gives you 10% off parts, accessories and apparel for two years, so I actually got to spend an extra $67.50. Here's the list of stuff I've ordered. Kick Ash windshield Traction grips 'noid eliminator Select seat The new saddle bags that just came out Matching tail bag Burnt rubber shirt |

Not sure about paint mods yet, something will come to me at some point. Took almost a year for CityX 2.0 to come together in my head, then it just kinda took off from there. kinda think the shark mouth found on WWII fighter jets might look cool on the scoops, but we'll see what happens. |

The dealer here has also knocked the price on 08 1125s down well below msrp. I have to keep telling myself I can't afford it right now... but it is soooo tempting. Congratulations on the new bike, it looks awfully sweet. |

I test rode the 1125R a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed with the motor... very very cool. I was also very impressed (negatively this time) by the heat pouring out of the left side of the engine/frame... it was so bad it was burning my inner left thigh and I had to ride with my left leg off of the frame... I thought the bike had an issue, but it was the same on the two other demo bikes... I may have considered that bike if the heat wasn`t so bad... I hope they fix it soon! Cheers~ |

The irony amazes me... the liquid-cooled motor is too hot for us air-cooled riders. It's frustrating how Erik can get it so right... and so wrong. |

I'm picking one up from Biketown HD tomorrow for the same deal. It's a 5 hour drive for me, but I'm still saving 2 grand compared to my local dealer. They wouldn't work with me at all. Whoah, I just noticed the $675 gear deal. I hope the dealership I'm buying from honors it. (Message edited by samcol on August 29, 2008) |

BikeTown is where I got it! You'll get your $675 credit, but they also give a 10% on store purchases (minus bikes) for two years when you buy a bike from them. So you'll actually have an extra 67.50 to spend. You do have to spend it that day, so have an idea what it is you want. They seem to be a good bunch of folks there and have some pretty knowledgeable Buell people. Even those that aren't up to speed yet are interested in them and are learning IMO. |

eh, if they ever figure out how to make a Rotax dirty motor bike, I will join you on the water cooled side of the house. Until then I will continue to get the Orange bike dirty, muddy, & filthy. |
