10:35 a mile over rough terrain. I suppose I could cut my time down if I moved to a flat track... but theres no mud there, and flat is boring. |

End of week 2 on NS. 8/13/08 231.9 lbs 8/20/08 224.7 lbs 8/27/08 220.7 lbs Only 4 lbs this week. Kinda disappointing. I have increased my time on the elliptical trainer (twice a day) and doing more push-ups and sit-ups (as of last Friday). Maybe I gained more muscle mass? Not going to weigh myself until next Wednesday morning. This every morning weigh in stuff killed me this week. |

4 lbs is a good week man. If your working out, make sure ur gettin all the perscribed protien and lots of water. |

4 POUNDS!!! that is GREAT! If you look at it from the 1 lbs a week = 52 pounds in a year. Go pick up 50 lbs of something.... its HEAVY! 4 pounds is HUGE! |

Thanks. Been 100% on the NS plan. Water is not a problem. Even before NS, I generally drink 240-300 ounces a day. |

Finally hit the 160 lb average for a week straight. Down 20 lbs. since Feb. Even had some belt loops sewn onto my favorite riding britches. I'll be happy to stay where I'm at, but the winter will mean more work. |

Pre-cheat confession: We are having a neighborhood cookout on Monday and I plan to participate. I'm not going to go crazy, but it will be the first time I'm going to eat a non-NS meal since starting just over 2 weeks ago. Hopefully it won't kill the hard work I've been putting in this week. We'll see.... |

I suck at being on a diet. I am addicted to food and food like items. I have not gained back any of the 20 lbs that I lost since last XMas, but I have not progressed either. My wife and son have done wonderfully on Dr's Weight Loss Clinic's program. I cannot qualify for it because of allergies to the vitamin and the appetite pills jack my BP way over the limits. I cannot work out to loose weight like I used to because the old ship wreck of a body won't take it without disabling me for work. It isn't a matter of working through the muscle pain like twenty years ago, the knees swell and fill with fluid, the back is limited from injuries that required surgery, the hands swell and fingers will not bend, and most of the other joints that have been abused at one time or another just hurt like hell when exercised. Most of the diet/healthy foods have ingredients that I can no longer have in my intestinal tract. Anybody else fighting these problems that are holding back the weight loss, but would be better off for it if I could loose the weight? I'm thinking I may have to resort to just eating less. I already drink a gallon and a half of water a day. I have never done it, but maybe I should take up smoking. It has always been said that smokers gain weight when they stop, would that mean then that if a person started they should loose weight, right? Bacon, I like Bacon! |

I am a meatatarian, I like bacon, pork, chicken, jerky, spam, pepperoni, perscuito, salami, ham, veal, mutton, goat, pheasant, quail, duck, goose, beef, buffalo, fish, sausage, brauts, shrimp, shark, snake, gator, squid, ox, elk, venison, and any of the above wrapped in bacon, served with a side of mashed potatoes a desert of more meat. I can resist icecream, chocolates, candy any of that sweet cr@p. Dead charred animal is my kryptonite. Damnit, now I am hungry |
