A dealer near me (who shall remain nameless as they aren't a sponsor here) is selling off their 08's for 9995 + f&p. My decision to wait just got about 2 grand harder. May just have to go talk to them.... |

Have him match the dealer selling here for $9,300 with no additional fees. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 385467.html?1219542734 |

The last post on that thread says they're now at 9405. I'll have to see what I can talk them into, definitely want my $675 credit toward some gear tho too. |

Got mine for a lot more than that but I have no regrets. I found a very Buell friendly dealer who absolutely loves 'em. Very professional and just down to earth group of guys and gals. Great shout out for Old Glory HD & Buell in Laurel, MD. |

I was approved pending proof of income, and since I didn't lie about what I make I can get it, just a matter of what the interest and payment figures look like. That will decide if I want it or not. Plus I get the 675 store credit too, making a shopping list "just in case". |

Took mine out on approx. 180 miles of twisties and straights yesterday. Had a blast. I'm as happy now as you're going to be once you get it. This is absolutely the best bike I've owned yet!! Rock on. |

Didn't get the $675 deal. I traded an '07 Speed Triple and was very upside down on the whole deal. They did some serious "creative accounting" to get me the 1125. I didn't care about the $675 stuff anyway, just wanted the 1125. |

Not sure how they could take away that credit. It's factory done. Guess they had to have you give it to them as part payment of the debt? So then they declare it sold/given and Buell repays them in money or more product. Creative accounting, something like 'new math' or what's said when one looks over the books of failed corporations. One way or another they had to flip the upside down part onto the 1125 loan. Auto industry does that stuff all the time. It just makes every successive vehicle more upside down until they are finally stuck with one till it's payed for. Careful with escalating debts. I wouldn't think of a new bike till your looking at the Buell 35th or 40th anniversary models. |

You're right Oddball, I won't be buying another bike for a while. I've also got an old honda chopper I just finished building and a couple other toys to tinker with. Plenty to keep me busy. : ) |

They didn't even know about the $675 deal til I made them look it up, then they had to find out if they were a participating dealer. I want the new tail bag, saddle bags, select seat, kick ash windscreen, traction grips and that 'noid eliminator thing. |

BLF - If water ever freezes where you live, I STRONGLY recommend the "Heated Grip Kit". Worth it's weight in gold below 35˚F. Best "farkle" I've added. Well, that and the Uly footpegs. Z |

Heated grips Tour/Select seat Tank(airbox) bra Kuryakyn LED voltmeter Ulysses drop pegs, silver 1/2" spacer on brake toe-peg 140gms #8 bird shot in each handlebar in a zip-lock bag Generic metric gold-anodized bar-ends HID low-beams De-solenoid/lock throttle cams together Buell Firebolt/1125R Tail Bag Oxford "First Time" saddlebags XBLights clear-lens integrated brake/turn/run taillight Custom Aluminum/SS304 "fender eliminator" Amber wheels/ Valencia Orange Translucid airbox, inner airbox painted silver and signed by Erik Got some touch up paint from BMC and painted the wheel weights Amber too 4 cans rattle-can clear lacquer and polish on frame and swingarm Drilled out each tip into rear chamber on OEM exhaust can, got some "Thump" now. Thanks for that list Zac. I am having a tough time holding on to the bars after a little while because of the vibration. Can you say how effective the bird shot is in decreasing the bar vibes? |

"Drilled out each tip into rear chamber on OEM exhaust can, got some "Thump" now." What size hole did you drill? Any performance issues from it? |

No noticed difference performance wise, certainly zero gain. I just want to hear the exhaust, not the valvetrain. I have to pull the muffler next week when I do the 12k service. I'll try to remember to take pix of the muffler mod. The biggest drill bit I had was a 5/8". Then I used a large rat-tail file running backwards in a drill to go some more. I don't remember vibes being bad, but they're non-existent now. Use a heavy wall bag, the shot may cause trouble if any get free to wander. Z |

since I bought a bike I get 10% off all purchases at the dealer, which added $67.50 to my free cash. So on top of my previously listed parts list, I also got that 1125r Burt Rubber shirt. |

What was/is the $675 deal? Was that active since the first sale? |

Never mind ... I see it on the Buell website. $675 credit on an untitled 2008 from July 1 - Aug 31. |

Just called my dealer up and asked why I was not offered the $675 deal. They said didn't know there was one. After checking they told me to come back in a get my $675 worth of stuff. Latus honored the deal 4 days after my purchase. Very Cool. |
