Does anyone know if there is a flyscreen without windshield mounting holes available? It would be a nice option to have on very warm days....or if your windshield mounting hardware failed. |

Give it up dude. I've been hoping for the hole-less flyscreen ever since i bought my Uly. I can't understand why Buell, who strives for streetfighter design ala the Lightning, can't make the G*damn fly w/o holes for the giant streetfighter look! The only option is to special order a carbon fiber fly from Trojan Horse in the UK. I don't want CF, I want my Orange crush! I'm so bitter about this. Can u tell? |

I spoke with someone at one of the windshield companies was willing to make a flyscreen in whatever color. I can't find the email right now. You could even extend the upper lip a bit or two to create a rounded profile or a mini windscreen. |

MadStad Engineering is having some aluminum windscreens made up for the Uly for mounting his windshield bracket. He might have some made up with no mounting holes and Etennuly could paint it for you. |

I believe it was Gustoffson Plastics that I spoke with: http://www.bikescreen.com/index.html They were willing to mock something up if I let them know what I was looking for. They have the ability to produce the shield in black pretty easily. The orange was going to be a bit of a challenge. The orange they have is actually amber. It would be a good fit for matching with valencia orange. My though was to create a shield that replaced the stock faring yet was an inch or two taller and wasn't straight cut like the Uly's is. In essence, what I wanted to create was a shorter one piece faring instead of the taller two piece design. I'd give them a call and see what they can do. I assume they would need your stock faring for a little while to work things out. |

I've thought about warming some plexi or lexan and forming one but haven't attempted it yet. I have an old oven kicking around in the shop so I don't have to worry about the wife complaining the roast tastes like plastic after. |
