What makes people want to ride in an uncontrolled situation(on the street) instead of the track? I don't get it. Buy some leathers, boots, gloves, a good helmet and sign up for track day where there are no unforeseen conditions. This idiot ruins it for every person out there that rides a cafe style bike. Thank God that women got those children out!!! |

Looks to be a CBR or ZX6R, judging by the style of undertail exhaust it has. I say he wins the Douche of the Day award |

100+ mph, smacks a truck, and runs away... after he serves a few years in prison, he should be able to get a sponsorship from some safety gear maker and just spend the rest of his life running into barriers at high speeds on the track. Then again, if the road rash he had was attended to by a EMT that rides, he may have been punished enough. |

"It's always worked for him on video games" Years ago i used to play road rage on sega. I would make it a point to not go riding after playing it. He should have kept that rush to the game play. It'll likely be a harsh lesson for him. |

The media using the term "bullet bikes" erks me every time. and then they go and blame it on video games. The cop should have just called it like it was and just said "we the guy is an idot and should be dead. but he got lucky" |

The term bullet bike makes me giggle a real royal enfield bullet would have to be falling off a cliff to make 100 miles an hour |

Did anyone notice the single long tire mark? Looks like the clown had locked up (or only used) the rear brake before dumping the bike. So anyone think meth was involved? |

I am noting an increase, as scooter numbers go up in N<YC by about 1,000 a week, of REALLY DUMB scooter accidents as well. I've been seeing cute gals in heels and skirts pulled over in designer helmets. Yesterday I sat, on a bike, in a traffic jam for an hour on the FDR and finally, after creeping 2 miles, saw the cute orange Vespa dangling on the tow truck hook. I coined the term "splitter splatter". Amazing. |

I'm seeing the same type of thing here, Court. I saw a young lady in business attire talking on her cell phone while digging through her purse...while moving through traffic! |

Last year in rural Ohio a 17 year old kid was ridding his GSXR at about 140mph down a country road in the middle of the night. Two things wrong with this 1) Deer and 2) the farmers around here move there equipment at night so as not to block traffic with there combines. Well the kid was cut in half after hitting the backside of the combine. Moral of the story the street is not a track. |

Those Ohio combines are usually lit up like an airport runway, and combined with how dark the typical rural road is at night, you would have to be running a pretty huge negative safety margin to manage to kill yourself on one of them. Tragic stupidity. "Honest officer, this aircraft carrier darted out in front of me from *nowhere*." |
