One could get close to that with some cutting and welding on new tips |

My ONLY gripe with the looks of the 1125 line is the dog bone. I agree with the "truck muffler" comment. I would like to see something less swoopy yet contoured to the bottom of the engine case so that it doesn't look homemade. Just a pipe looks kinda weird and removes visual weight from the bottom of the bike. I'd like to see something that looks similar to what is on the RC8 but has been adjusted to fit the 1125 visual cues (less angular more rounded). In essence, I would like for the muffler to fill the space that would normally be a belly pan without the belly pan. |

I agree Ft_bstd. That was my thoughts the first time I saw the RC8. I liked the tucked up not so bulbous look. I also agree with Jotrevza. I could live with the stock if it sounded a little more aggressive and the exits were turned out. Or they were incorporated into one outlet. Stainless would be nice , but I would prefer to keep it black. |

Black is definitely the way to go. Whatever setup I decide on....first thing after I get it in the mail....it's going to get powder coated black. I WIIIISH I had a desktop computer up and running so I could ramp up a photoshop rendition of what I have brewing in my head. Until then......... |

I guess it's just me but I don't care for the RC8 at all and especially the muffler. To me it looks more homemade than the 1125 stocker. I am probably alone in that thought but if the welds on the stock 25R were better finished the muffler would look much better. That said, I still built my own slip-on |

The RC8 is ugly... But lets get back to the topic... Where are the HR1 dyno results? |

I don't care for the rest of the RC8, but I do like the muffler and how they have used metal to take up some of the space around the engine. You can't just hang a straight line box under the engine and call it good. |

A well-fitted belly pan would help the 1125R immensely. |

"A well-fitted belly pan would help the 1125R immensely." As would a full fairing. |

"That freaking exhaust looks like Dennis Connor's America's Cup yacht." As opposed to a poor looking welds and a Dog Bone? |

you guys all need to call Jason at hr1 and tell him to send you the dyno results otherwise you wont buy his bike. then maybe he will pay for my trip to get it done! |

I think the discussion of HOW it looks is as relevant as WHAT it does from a performance standpoint. If you got an extra 2hp, would it be worth it if it made your bike look like ass? I know the dogbone was someone's project. It was probably their best work to date. I want something that looks better AND works better than the stock unit. I don't think that's asking too much. When I get mine, I want to have good choices. |

Right now they are 510. When production is done they will be around 600. We have no tuning information at this time. We are abut two weeks out at this time. Thank you Jason D HRMS This isnt what I wanted to hear when asked if they tried to dyno this bike before building them. They dont have my sale |

Well...if you got an extra 2hp....and it made the bike look like ass...then just keep the stocker. Now...if it got an extra 2hp (or no extra power), made the bike look like ass, but dropped 15lbs off the bike...absolutely!! Exhaust upgrades, to me, are never about power, or worse yet, sound (noise). They are about weight savings and better throttle response. Don't care if it makes any more power or if it's butt ugly, as long as it weighs less and smooths engine response. Here's a brief history of Buell exhausts. LOL! www.rbracing-rsr.com/lsr21/buell.html |

Thats a shame that he cant give any dyno info .how can you make a pipe without dynoing and tweeking?I guess we have another backyard builder. At least jardine/d&d gave me dyno sheets. |

It doesn't seem right... But, hey they may be waiting to release the numbers until they've tweeked it just the way that they want it. |

maybe they are waiting .Do you see how the downpipes are longer and they y right before the pipe .I know on a car the longer the primary tube the more torque .I dont know if this applies here. Its kind of like a long tube header.Am i right?I mean it looks like a good design .But I shake my head about the dyno stuff. Even though its adjustable pipe between 90 and 120 decibals. |

90-120? Well, they're close to pain threshold. I thought it was 114db but it's listed as 125db. Teaches me to not listen to a news reporter. 120 would put it in the no more than 15 minutes a day exposure area. 80-90db range would probably be much better. Noticeably louder at max but legally quiet at minimum. http://www.gcaudio.com/resources/howtos/loudness.h tml http://www.alltechinsulation.com/acoustic_noise_le vels.asp |
