My wife and I ride Buells but we've never ridden with other Buellers. We ride with the Lanc/Lebanon chapter of Southern Cruisers Riding Club. We have an 1100 V-Star also but we ride the Buells with the group a lot. I almost always ride my firebolt while the warden switches between her blast and the Yami. She is going to move up to an scg one of these days. The group is mostly cruisers, but there is also a Katana and a Magna that ride. If you want to catch a ride sometime email me; there are ice cream runs most Wed nights and usually something on the weekends. Hey Toona. Any takers on the Labor Day ride? We just spent the weekend in Bedford and got a lot of riding in. There are some great roads out that way and we had a blast! We'd be up to riding out there again as long as work doesn't interfere. I won't know if I'm free until the last minute though. The company I work for does the maintenance for the Exelon plants and if there is a breakdown I'm kind of stuck. | ||

Hey All, been stupid busy with work. The Fall Res Ride looks like it's going to be the following w/e, Sept 6th. instead of Labor Day w/e. I've got a local charity ride that I'm attending, so I can't do Labor Day w/e. Dano, it's been all down hill since Homecoming. I did get a ride in to Reading, PA this past w/e for the NHRA drags. Spent a bunch of time in the Pro Stock Bike pits. I know a=the only thing Buell on them is the decal on the "tank", but they are still a mechanical/electronic marvel to me. I spent the majority of my time between the Chris Rivas/S&S Motorsports "Buell" and met George Smith, one of the "S"'s in S&S. Super nice guy, he took me into the race trailer and showed me all the downloads from the qualifying rounds and told me what they were going to run on the first round of eliminations, 6.96 seconds-1/4 mile. Which they promptly went out an ran first round. Amazing they can dial them in like that. Rivas ended up red lighting in the semi finals and lost. The rest of the time I spent in Angelle Sampey's pit watching the crew chase electrical gremlins ALL weekend. Normally they don't start the bike in the pits before each round. Before 1st round on Sunday, they had to start it 5 times because they kept finding bad parts. They were frazzeled when they left for the start line. Angelle made it all the way to finals where she got beat by Matt Smith (also riding a "Buell"). The ride to and from Reading was OK, slabbed it both ways, but it was still better than being in a cage for 3 hours | ||

It's Official! Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept 6th. This will be an autumn version of the spring "Res Ride". We may take a little different route, but still have all the good curves (plus some new ones) and some Clem's BBQ! This is the Saturday AFTER Labor Day. I don't like using the work fall and motorcycle ride in the same sentence This will also be a send off ride for XB9er. His National Guard company will be shipping out to the "Sand Box" Sept 19. He'll be gone for a year (or so the gov't says). I told him I'd take good care of his Buell "Jessie", somehow I don't think he believed me because he said he wasn't going to leave the key in it.  | ||

Toona, I will not be able to make it Sept 6th, my last day at work is the 5th, then to Carlisle for my buddies house warming party on the 6th, have a wedding on the 13th, then mobilize on the 15th. My last two weekends are pretty well packed. Oh yeah that banner I was having signed at the 25th is currently packed away in the top of my Ruck to be displayed as soon as I get in country! Randy, you are from Chambersburg? My wife is from a little house right down the road from the Scotland school. High rock is one of my favorite rides, down 116 from Hanover, hit up Jacks Mountain Rd outside of Fairfield, on to 16, left at Blue Ridge Summit, make a right at the bar, up past Penn Mar.... great ride indeed! Saturday! Saturday! Saturday! This coming Saturday is the Autumn Res Ride. It will also be a send off ride for XB9er, as he is shipping out on the 19th to go play in the sand in Iraq. If you wouldn't mind posting up on the Autumn Res Ride thread at the top of the Storm Fronts page, I'd appreciate it. Just so I have an idea of how many to expect. I'd like to get started around 10:30/11:00. If anyone is game for Tom and Joe's for breakfast, post up and let me know  Directions to my shop are posted on the Autumn Res Ride thread. Hey all, been a little quiet around here. I've been busy at the shop, got a little riding in here and there, coming up on 18,000 on the bike with almost another 5k added this year. Anywho, I'll be hosting a "cruiser ride" this Saturday at our church., 134 Logan Blvd, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. Meet at 10:30 or so, and leave at 11:00. The leaves are just starting to change today, so the fall colors should be good by Sat. The weather will be a little cool, high of 60-62. That's why I tried to start the ride a little later in the morning. The route/speed will be more cruiser oriented. But sometimes, you just gotta slow down and enjoy the fall colors. I'm leaning towards one of the stops being Clem's towards the end of the ride, guessing 3-4 ish, which should put us back at the church around 5 p.m. If you wouldn't mind chiming in, so I know to be looking for you. | ||
