Just got to the computer. Wife wanted to go to Babcock State Park when I got home so off we went. My only regret is that I didn't make it to this gathering last year. Absolutely great weekend filled with great people and great rides. Outstanding job Mark. Thanks to you, your family and everyone else who made this rally possible. Roy |

Great times and great rides. I finished a bit over 1100 miles for the weekend. Time for a new back tire... The Gainer hospitality was much appreciated. --Tony (Message edited by tpoppa on August 17, 2008) |

I made it home safe and sound. I have no idea the mileage but it has to be somewhere in the 1300 mile range. Left with 33K miles and some change on the Uly and now it has 35K miles and some change. Webe and I found some grate spots on the way home. Our path home was a little like this... Twisties, Slab, two-lane, twistie, slab, two-lane, twistie, slab, two-lane. One of the twistie sections must be the local sport bike spot. I saw a lot of bikes riding on a 10 out of 10 section of road. Two sport bikes came up behind Webe and I, and we let them pass before the twistie section. It was pretty comical when Webe and I caught back up in the twistie section, with both riders looking hard in their mirror as we chased them back down. The ride home was a bit over 500 miles, in 10 hours and 15 minutes including gas stops and lunch. It was grate to see most of the folks from last year and a whole lot of new folks this year. It was a grate ride on Saturday, with up to 17 bikes nose to tail on a spirited ride, through some grate roads with no drama and a whole lot of fun. By far the best group ride I have been on. Here is a shot on the straighter section of the ride. Sorry, I do not have a camera mount and was snapping picks by hand.

hey what was that showering tree again Gene? seriously, I was trying to explain the whole bucket thing to GF (an actual botanist) but made myself kinda look like an a$$. FWIW, anyone from the NE headed to Buelltober, how about a tour through the central highlands in WV? Mid Oct is when there'll be some good colors. I've a spare room and space for tenting for anyone needing a pit-stop enroute to/from Suches. |

I've got land if you need a place in the central highlands of WV to plop those tents down as well. Not sure if I'll go to Buelltober or not, but feel free to set up in my yard... all 70 acres of it! |

OK, worm cocoons go in the garden and the bucket goes in the weeping snowfountain cherry tree to scare away the rooster. BTW, us Clevelanders rode back with Tpoppa and had a grate time. I don't recall all the routes but WV 74 was nice and Ohio 556 was out of site. I you ever get the chance I highly recommend it! |

It's worth turning around a riding a few times. BTW, us Clevelanders rode back with Tpoppa and had a grate time. I don't recall all the routes but WV 74 was nice and Ohio 556 was out of site. I you ever get the chance I highly recommend it! I ride SE OH or cross into WV pretty much every weekend that the weather permits. Let me know when you're up for a ride. Mark, Thanks for a great time and all the effort you put into the weekend. A special thanks to your parents for feeding us. You could not ask for a better group to ride with and the weather was just about prefect. If you do it again, I'll be there. |

Had a great time riding with this crew, most of whom I had never met before. Top quality people and riders. I have never seen a group of 16 ride without it becoming a boring parade, until last Saturday. No idiots, no breakdowns, and no one afraid of corners (and light traffic)! As someone said after dinner Fri - over 20 H-D made products, and not a single drop of oil on Wolf's parents driveway! ...and we all enjoyed the constant fan chorus whenever we stopped. Look forward to riding with you all again. Have not had a chance to even look at my pics and video yet, but will do so soon. I know I have a few of Gary throwing down sparks (with the pucks, not the entire bike). I road 16 all the way south to US19 at Fayetteville (and slab after that), and had a great ride. Carolos/Webe - 16 south of I79 (that we skipped on the way up) was very good, and only had 1 spot at the southern end that got touristy/congested. Would recommend it highly! My rear Sync is now about fried, but for a good cause. Thanks for the great weekend (1000+ miles), and special thanks to Wolf and his crazy nice parents for all the food and welcome. Jim |
