"Hey, ya gotta keep up! You're not actually sleeping at night, are you? Because you get WAAAAY behind. ->ChelleM " lol what's sleep ? logged on here 24/7 along with several other forums . the search for new posts is great if you want to see ALL the new posts on ALL the forums/subforums . not so great for following certain threads on certain forums . also not really complaining , but since the topic was brought up , i thought i'd throw my 2 c worth in at least a color change ? |

I'm alright with the general layout of this forum, but there are two things I'd love (same two things many have mentioned already): 1) Allow archived thread to come back to active if there are new posts. I don't see any excuse at all why this shouldn't be happening. 2) phpBB forums have a "View New Posts" feature. This allows you to see all threads that have been active since the last time you've logged on. It shows the last poster, and the section the thread is in. I think this is one of the best features of any forum. |

This does kinda exist already, although the first time you use it you might get a LOT of responses. If you go into the Search area, you can click " Messages since I last searched for new messages:" and it will show them to you. But if you've never searched for new messages, the first time is well, a bit overwhelming. ->ChelleM |

Actually, I just used it, and even though I last checked on August 7, I returned over 5000 posts. This site is incredibly active. That's why I get email notification of certain areas or threads that I like to check. I just can't keep up with all these threads! It's just too much. I have to work sometimes, and sleep, well, sometimes. :P So if you use this feature, better do it regularly! (I'm sure a moderator will correct me if I'm doing it wrong though. Wouldn't be the first time!) ->ChelleM |
