So maybe there is hope that Eric never loaded the map into my bike and I will still be able to get more out of it.

your bike is what it is, the map is in there.

It's not the bike that is slow in the corners. It is the rider.(not meant offensively)

Get some track time and become smooooooth or twist that throttle and quit hitting the brake.

That 9 is more bike than ANY of us can use, Look at Hammer. He will smoke us all on that bike. Ask Jim about the time he passed us twice on the highway....Going in a straight line. it was baffling.

Wanna be fast like your buds in the straight line, buy a Busa.

The bike is great over 5000rpms it just seems a little delayed when I am just under 5k.

and seriously, i've been trying like hell to get one of my oldest friends to buy a real streetbike ( the cb550 cafe conversion just dont cut it) so he's going to look at one tonight. lets hope it reels him in. then he can join the gayness.

Getting out early guarantees being home by mid afternoon when most like to get back.

I'll go with Jp's idea this week.Soon though,i want to do a breakfast run out of Middleboro and see Plymouth rock and maybe Myles Standish S.F. or a GOOD loop in that area...You know,Cranberry bogs and scrub pine trees'

Hi,
Newbie Bueller here... just picked up my bike this past Wednesday ('09 Hero Blue XB12Ss). Thinking I might join the ride tomorrow, I've only met 3 NEBO guys so far and would like to meet more of ya. I'm not new to motorcycling, but AM new to this bike (only has about 190 mi on it so far)... what kind of riding do you guys do?

Jim - sorry so early...but like Carl's...you have to beat the crowd.
Nate - glad to hear your coming up!
Shawn - glad to hear your coming down!

Jack - welcome! You are more than welcome to join us. How do we ride...read Scotty's thread up top "So you want to come ride with us?" It's not to be preachy...just good tips for safety. We hit as many corners as we can...ride very little highway unless we are getting to and from a ride (slab is boring!). We won't ever leave anybody behind...keep a good head count and wait at all stop signs for the last guy/girl to catch up. If you need to bail...let somebody know you are bailing so we don't go crazy trying to find you. Some days are more relaxed than others...some days are a bit more 'spirited'. And I'll beat Eric and Jim to the punch in letting you know one thing...you're gay! Get used to it...it's a long running joke here at NEBO.

Hope to see you tomorrow.

I'll check in around 7 am for last minute questions.

Don't forget to gas up before breakfast!
