The 24th still looks good for me. Will also consider a ride in September. I'm in North Orange county, not far from Erik. I'm willing to consider just about any ride, but prefer rides with less traffic. I'm only good for weekends or nights. I work Monday through Friday. (Message edited by darisb on August 09, 2008) |

Well, I think we should plan a ride on the 24th. Maybe just a short one at least to meet everyone. We can join up out in the Riverside area and go from there? |

So who's all going for sure? Or is it still up in the air for some? I hope to meet as many of you around the Inland Empire as possible. As well as those from the Orange County area. |

I've set aside the 24th for the ride. I dont know where we'll go or for how long, but I figured I'd ride out to someplace (or someones house) in Riverside county and we'd go from there. Maybe Daris can meet me at my house? I'm open to the time and place (early is probably better as its probably going to be HOT!). I've got a map so I could find Big Bear, but I'm not otherwise familiar with the roads in SanBerdoo and Riverside counties. I think Jprovo is going to join us too. And I'll say for the first time and probably not the last time, that this is a no pressure ride. You want to ride fast-stay in front. You like slow-stay in the back. We'll all wait and I'm sure we all have cell phones in case someone pulls over and we lose them. We'll all be riding Blasts-there's no one to impress! |

I'm still about 90% sure that I'm going. I was thinking the same thing Erik, about the OC riders meeting and then heading out the the next stop in a group. There's a village at Lake Arrowhead. A Belgian Waffle House, that has great food (waffles, sandwiches, salads, etc) but might be a little tough to get a group into. There's a pizza place in the village, but we've never tried it. If you drive through Crestline headed North toward Victorville, there is Silverwood Lake. Nice ride, but I think you have to pay to get into the lake and where I'm told the services are minimal. Mostly geared to servicing campers and boaters. |

As you've seen, we own a small cabin in Orange! Looks like Big bear, Wolffsoul. I think Daris can show (or tell) us the way! That shouldnt be too long of a haul?! Where to meet, what time to go? Anytime after 7am is fine. PS Daris, do you have a Fastrack? I'm not sure if you actually need one on a bike, but its supposed to be free?! (I'm bringing mine-traffic can suck on the way home-if we go that way). |

I do have a fasttrack. I've never used it for the bikes. We take the 210 to the 57 when coming home. There are never any slow spots on that route. There's still a slight chance that I might not be able to make it, but if I do end up going meeting in OC around 7 or later will work for me. |

I checked on the FasTrack. It says that motorcycles pay the same toll as two axle vehicles. See this link: http://www.thetollroads.com/home/common_fastrak.ht m#11 Of course, the toll road will only help you between just west of Corona and the 55. (Message edited by darisb on August 18, 2008) |

Okay, who's in for Sunday? I'm counting on you Riverside/San Bernadino people to pull your side together. You'll need to decide when Daris and I should be out there. Probably do a loop around Big Bear/Crestline, unless there are other suggestions. I'd like to be home by 3pm! I'm riding out to Utah Thursday morning and I've still got some things to do as I wont have much time during the week.} |

If you guys like you can meet at my house. I live off the 60fwy and Valley. Oh and by the way I have never ever gone and did twist and turns. I have what you would call chicken stripes on my tires. (Message edited by wolffsoul on August 21, 2008) |

Erik, I'm in. If you hook up with James and Daris and go thru Carbon Canyon I can meet you guys on the other end in Chino Hills. We can then head out on the 71 to the 60 and meet up at Mari's place. Does 8:00 in Chino Hills sound okay? Just have to watch for fog in Carbon Canyon. Anyways, anyone else from the Inland Empire goin? Has anyone contacted Felicia? So Erik, I'll talk to you Fri. or Sat. for more details, and Mari I guess we'll need directions to your place. |

Sounds perfect! I dont know if James will meet at my house or yours. You can email him your address (he knows mine!). Then we'll head to Mari's. So Mari, if you want to email Sycho or me (or both) your address, that would be great. Mari, would you like to contact Felicia? Again, this is a no pressure ride. No showing off and nobody getting hurt (or separated). Nice easy pace. |

Hi all! Haven't been on here in a little bit obviously I'm still having issues with my gas cap, but it should be ok to ride (maybe I'll get some tips from you all). As of right now, I see no reason for me not to go. The "nice and easy" pace will be good for me as I've never taken mountain roads. (Message edited by felicita on August 22, 2008) |

Cool Felicia, it'll be nice to have you join us. I have never been on Mountain Roads as well, just some mellow turns through some small canyons. But as Erik has pointed out this will be a Meet and Greet and possibly Eat lunch up at Lake Arrowhead. I am looking forward to meeting you all and hopefully get some pointers from some of you as well on things to modify on the bike. |

Guzzi That'll be fine. I wouldnt hold Guzzi against him, Honda maybe Just as long as he knows its a Buell Blast ride and not the local loony tune knee draggers club! We should be at your house by 9am, hopefully sooner. The "Meet and Greet" part will take up most of the time. We could also cruise by Felicita's house and pick her up there and do some of the roads in that area. Possibly Idlewilde, but there are others. That may not put us at her house until after 10am though. I still think of the the 71 as being 2 lanes, I just dont know if there are any nice roads between Riverside (Valley/60fwy) and Perris. I'm completely flexible. I have a map, GPS and am open to suggestion! I'll also be bringing my Corbin if anyone wants to try it and a gas cap for Felicita. |

Looks like everybody's in! Darisb and Jprovo will be at my house 7am. We'll hit Sycho's about 8am. Then Wolffsouls about 9am, picking up Guzzi Boy and Felicita. Then probably to Big Bear. Times are approximate. I doubt we'll be late, probably early. If any 'lurking' SoCal Blasters want to join us, speak up or pm me. P3Pilot, are you sure you dont want to take the day off? Maybe next time. |
