Tavs Did you relocate the fuse box and/or the ECM?If so....did you have any problems? Anybody on here have pics of an early M2 with the seat base trimmed/cut down? Thinking if making my M2 "beater" a true minimalist bike. jim |

Dueller: the fuse assembly is tucked away in the lower right hand of the subframe; the ecm is that box you see zip-tied to the seat frame near the bottom of the picture. I did not have to redo any wiring; everything kind of fell into place and has worked great over the last 2000 miles. |

Our local BRAG sponsor Destination Tigard hosted a ThunderCross event this weekend as part of their 100th anniversary celebration. ThunderCross is a BattelTrax type event setup in a parking lot with tight turns which require the rider to remain in 1st gear. It IS not a race, you run against your own time. Best times of the day make finals. Best time after 3 final runs wins division. But it IS not a race. All kinds of bikes showed up for the event. Even Ferris could have ran the course on his VFR, but he can't remember where the NorthWest is anymore. I have lots of them let me know if you want more. Enjoy, Roc showed up on his Salt bike with the glimmer of 180mph in his eyes. Too bad about the rain on the salt flats. Great looking X1 staging at the start line. Here is christaylor looking through the corner on his S3. Notice the tire marks in the corner from this "skills" challenge. There were riders of all sizes and displacement. This is Cody, mtrbkmike's son, twisting the grip on 50cc of 2-stroke screamin power. Long time Bueller Joy Farmer on her S3T transitioning between corners. Joy continues to put major miles on her Buell. They only ran the course a couple of times, but it was amazing. Yes, he did the entire course 2 up, one handed, smokin a stogie. Here is greeneric making the last turn before the finish line where you had to stop in a defined box area. This was the fastest rider of the day. His name is Brian and he was whipping his old Honda Hawk around the course so fast you'd think he run someone over. |

I'd show up for that one, call it the SuperSPLASH, required attendance of all who have ever lived in the Pacific NorthWet no matter where they be now. Give the date and it will be marked on the calender. |

Ferris and Mikej, There is also a guest room and couch/floor/yard available at the spud estates. Ferris at SPLASH brings back some cold memories. I nearly lost my life to hypothermia the last time he attended. Not sure when in July SPALSH 2003 will happen, bet the Washington State Police would like to know. pdxs3t - Did I miss you at T-Cross last weekend? I have lots of pictures to share from T-Cross but none of a beautiful BLACK S3T, bummer. |

Ferris, I do believe that you should be making a trip up here to do a test run this fall prior to "Super Splash" next year! You are only about 18 hours away and knowing the way you ride, it would be more like 10! Jim |

... then went and seen a kick but Rush concert at the Rose Garden! Dude, me too!!! My son bought tickets about three months ago and invited me to go with him. It was an awesome show touring on an awesome new album. The pyrotechnics for "Vapor Trials" was incredible. I'm still smiling from the experience, or maybe it’s that stuff I smelled burning at the concert? |

Give the date and it will be marked on the calender. hmmmmm, methinks Mikej figures he's gonna cop the "Long Distance" trophy by riding in for this deal from Milwaukee (and judging by the pic in his profile, he's QUITE used to loading on the miles) "SuperSPLASH"? i LIKE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so, who's gonna ramrod this thing? Heck, I would even let ya park your VFR in the garage! thanks, Jim, but are you sure you trust me around Shel? i mean, have you READ some of the things she's said in her e-mails??? the VFR would make a fine weapon for assaulting Mount St. Helens, but by next July there MAY be a new black Lightning in it's place -- fingers crossed.................. Ferris at SPLASH brings back some cold memories. I nearly lost my life to hypothermia the last time he attended. sumbitch, that was a c-c-c-c-cold motherhumper of a ride, wasn't it? remember Stuart Wells making "raingear" for everybody at the gas stop in Cougar out of plastic trash bags and electrical tape? and how cool was that family at the warming shelter below Windy Ridge when we roared in on the bikes, frozen to the bone, and "took over" their campfire? Not sure when in July SPLASH 2003 will happen, bet the Washington State Police would like to know. um, let's leave them out of this, we're gonna have enough problems with the Park Rangers............. I was going to do before and after photos of my new black cam cover and hand-polished header, but I never took the "before" photos. Oh well, here are the "after" photos: The fun part about this project is that I also installed lightning cams. Mike L. '99 Cyclone |
