There's so much great information on this site, but it's buried under piles of archived posts. I'd think that a lot of the repeat questions could be eliminated with an easier to search/find format. |

Have you actually used the Search function?? http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/sear ch.cgi I've never had an issue finding anything I've wanted here. |

I also prefer vbulletin (every other forum I participate in uses it). But I've gotten used to this place, and I actually like the search funtion here better. The only thing I don't like is if you make a post to an archived thread, no one knows about it because it doesn't move it back to the active folder. That would be a nice update I think. |

vBulletin FTMFW...I addressed this issue last year with Blake...it's archived now somewhere... It would be easier to post images, links, all that stuff, without remembering that weird ass coding you need to remember. |

EZ and Guell - should we expect updates to this format? Or an entirely new one? EDIT - Nevermind, I just read that there is a vbulletin test area in progress. Good news! (Message edited by xl1200r on August 13, 2008) |

Glad to see so many people are coming out to say they will throw some money to Blake so he can purchase new BBS software!! |

I find this board's anachronistic powerplant fitting, considering the subject it engenders. I think that, were Badweb to upgrade to Vbull, it would be a step backward, toward a boring conformity. There's something really special about this quirky, old-school format |

I'll tell you, I like this format better than the yahoo groups message system, which is the other one I use the most. It's much easier to see the threads and replies. When I first got here, I found the format to be quite intimidating. But only for the first few days. Once I figured it out, I liked it much better. And the search is fine - I just used it today to find one of my own old threads. Right where I left it. And the profile settings are great - I get email notifications only to replies and to posts to the sponsor section. In short, I like it. I like it very much. ->ChelleM |

Nobody's holding you and your frustration here against your will, are they? ...just tap twice for "yes", cough slightly if you're presently under duress |

this forum format was pretty much state of the art when Blake and i chose it over several others back in '98. as with everything else, BBS format and function options have changed and improved since then, but this ol' beater has held up pretty well over the years. what EZ said. FB |

Strange. Every time I go to some other forum I wish they were formatted like this one. This is the only place I can find anything. |

For comparison, look at the chaos of the "simple" Moto Guzzi forum at http://wildguzzi.com/forum/ . Just ONE page for all threads, no matter what the content. Suggestions to break it into smaller chunks (like about every other forum) have not been met with success. |

The Fleshtone adds a nice, seamy eroticism to the board... I vote with keeping the porno-scheme |

On one group I'm on you get a compulsory pink porno theme if you break the site rules. |
