AHHHH!!!! just wanted to make a pre-emptive strike and note that the good news has nothing to do with the propagation of the Orloff lineage ie - Stacey is NOT pregnant.....at least i don't think so. Joe was at our house the other day though..... If the baby is bald I'll have to wonder. dynarider, will be interested to hear what the failure mode was. may have some ideas for you if it is valvetrain related.... A new XB9S spotted near Ukes?????? uuuhhhh....no comment. |

I am hoping to hear from Sean today about my bike. If it is valvetrain related I have no clue what the hell is going on. The rev limiter is intact & functions. The only time I even see redline is on a really long wheelie it will bump it then the front end drops right down. Usually I keep the rpm's right around 3000-35000, thats just where it feels right. I am hoping its something simple & stupid, but you never know with a Buell. |

Dyna, Racerx1 is a motogenius. I fully endorse that whatever ideas he tells you are the god honest truth. |

Thanks for clearing that up. Kate was ready to buy the shower gift! (OK, maybe I was thinking that too.) I could just imagine a little Wes running around in cute little pink leathers.... |

Hey Don, they aren't pink.....they're light red. Thanks for the vote of confidence Joe! I think anyone who witnessed my last race would beg to differ however (bent just about everything that is bend-able.....). Looking forward to the bar-b-que.... WFO |

Glad it made it to you, CJM! Anyone else get their copy in the mail? I apologize for the couple of typos in this issue. No time to proof it. I had to put it together in record time to have it for the open house. In fact, Joe and I were making the copies the morning of. Anyway, hope you like it. Wes, I hope you didn't get hurt from this latest crash. I think I understand why you don't want to spend the money on new, non-pink leathers, when you keep scraping the pavement. Lol! let me know if you need that shifter linkage. |

Dont know all the details yet, but it has a holed piston, bent pushrods, cams are messed up, etc. This thing is the biggest piece of shit Buell ever produced. |

Ukes just pulled it apart & it appears the oil pump is screwed, cams are missing teeth, bent pushrod, hole in piston, etc. I told them I wanted Buell to cover it & already I am getting the old "Buell is being sticklers & your bike is out of warranty" Its 14 months old & this is the 6th time its in the shop, 4th time for major issues. I am so sick & tired of this shit. |

there's a long standing problem with oilpump drive gears, Dyna . . .not hugely wide-spread, but well documented . .. . that may be of assistance? I've also got size 12 boots |

Where is this documented? I need to see it so i can present proof to whomever. This is getting os damn old & I will not shell out any more $$$ on this bike. This pile is gonna be sold for scrap metal or whatever. I really cannot take anymore of this abuse. I just want to ride & the X1 is simply not allowing me to do that. Definately a monday or a friday built bike. I just wish the service dept would back me up once. Christ the engine is stock, havent done a damn thing to it except regular oil changes. I spend a shitload of money there & then when I have an issue with the same bike over & over nobody wants to tell Buell to get their shit together. |
