Polishing sounds like too much work. Jest paint it black, Dip it in Simple Green & power wash the grime away.. |

I think this forum should be renamed as the "Buell Cleanliness & Polishing Academy; Scott_in_NH, Headmaster." |

I thought it should be called "why not to buy a 1st year bike in the middle of winter in NE when you don't own a car" with baggermike as postmeister

Thanks I am hoping they get this figured out, Buell sent a team to Florida to figure out what is going on, the bike cold put out around 14 volts but as it heats up volts drop to 12 and the battery gets discharged so they are working on it, I think Buell rushed the bike into production for its 25th Anniversary and is why we are having problems, I did expect some problems and always have my sons blast to ride, it is like having a spare tire. Hi Scott I should be able to make this ride. Scott I have a problem my tires are wearing out in the middle and the sides are almost brand new, I need help getting the sides of my tires to match with the rest of the tires, so if you or anyone else can help me with this problem let me know? There is big day at Liberty HD and Buell on the 26 they are located at Rahway New jersey and I might be going and meeting up with Nickcaro in Connecticut, if anyone is interested and the weather is good I am going and we can meet up at different points along the way. I'm not ready to write it yet, maybe tomorrow. Jim, every word you said is true except that I did not get sick and I would go back if my company had a really, really (really!) good reason. That is I would only return on my terms. |

Mike - it's time to look at Google maps...just find a crooked road and get directions to it... |

Hi Jpb thanks, I did find a parking lot to play in around here, when my grandmother was in the hospital and looked out the window I seen a really big parking lot that was out back and had no cars in it, so I think this is great for doing stuff and teaching my my son to ride, if he or I screw up we are right were we need to be, but we will probably get kicked out by security, I was using google earth to try to find a big office park that had a road around it with good turns and was near by, but I did not think of using google earth to look for roads to ride on so thanks for the advice I will try google earth. Scott et al, Hey, remember me? Well, I'm finally back from several deployments and my wife and I are settled in DC. I see you're still drag racing! I still rank those nights high on my NH fun scale! I tried to buy my XB back from the guy who bought it, but he's hooked and wouldn't budge. I did get another bike however, but it's not a Buell. It is one of the bikes I've always wanted though. I still love Buells though and would love to add one to the garage some day. Take care, and get some ridin' in before the snow starts! Man, I wish it had the 145 Testastretta! It's an '06 S4R so it has the 117hp 996 engine. Hey, it's got the same engine you do! I tell ya, these Ducs are rough on the wrists. I can only immagine what the 916/996/998 ergos feel like. I sat on one years ago, but I was younger then. The carbon is all stock. Looks cool and I'm sure it makes it go faster! Scott, yep same girl. Everything is going great other than the fact that we're stuck in DC. Hope to make it back up that way in a couple of years. The riding season may be a bit longer here though! Hey, how 'bout that new nekid 1125? Take care guys! (Message edited by cgocifer on September 25, 2008) |

Hey, how 'bout that new nekid 1125? not my cup of tea.... Other than some of the more exotic euro bikes, bikes are getting uglier and uglier - including Buell! Are you still driving that hotrod crossfire? |

BUMP! Anybody alive up there, Scott? There's a bunch of Cow-Hampshirians posting up all over the main page... You and Torque gonna get them out on those cow-path roads of yours, or what? |

Great Felix, Have you run before? I am all kinds of busy, but if you or anybody else wants to do a street night at NED (Wed.'s and Fri.'s) before then - let me know! There is a nice campground very close to me and the track if anybody wants to come down on Friday or Saturday. (Message edited by scott_in_nh on July 28, 2009) |
