So , I am sanding the crack at the rear of my front fender. Sand, sand, primer, sand , sand, blue color, sand , sand primer, sand , sand , what the? Carbon strands? I have a carbon front fender!! yea, I stripped the rest of the paint off and it looks very cool. Why would anyone paint a carbon fender. george |

Some people prefer the function over the look. But to those people, I ask- wouldn't be more cost-effective to stop drinking cokes and beers or cut down on the cheeseburgers? I have a carbon fibre front fender on my S2 (no paint), but it's just 'cuz it looks cool. |

I don't really care for the Kevlar weave showing through the resin in carbon fiber. If I had CF parts on my bike, I'd paint them too. Bare CF doesn't look racy or appealing to me at all. |

All the cf parts on my bike (from various reputable manufacturers) has either faded, turned green or both. Thinking fairly seriously of painting over most of it with some semi gloss black (I think some stripes showing the cf would be neat, if it weren't all bleached out by the sun and rain I tend to ride in). Seldom eat cheeseburgers, don't drink beer and drink only diet coke... cf is still expensive |

all my carbon fiber is painted with a black clear coat. hopefully preventing the fading. plus the bike looks black from a far, carbon fiber "bling" up close. i figured it would be different. |
