Looks like ya'll had a grand time!!! Trish and I went non-technical mountain biking along the Virginia Creeper from Damascus, VA. 17 miles up a beautiful abandoned railroad grade, turned into a trail, to WhiteTop mountain. Then, a nice 17 mile decent back into Damascus for dinner. Really very nice. Highly recommended. The tourists who take the shuttle to the top and just ride down are missing the good stuff, but to each his own. We're going back this weekend to do some more. |

Trish and I went non-technical mountain biking along the Virginia Creeper... Mike, you weren't far from the RidgeDome: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=6817&post=1020227#POST1020227 can't attest personally to the fun factor on the trail, but the road that runs by it (VA 58, aka The Crooked Road), is the bomb. have you ridden/are you familiar with the New River Trail? http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state_parks/new.shtml looking down on the trail from the Shot Tower on Sunday, Carlos asked me if i thought we could take our motorcycles on it. "Yeah, at least once!" i said. FB |

Kristi, Ditto that! Mike and Trish - Sounds like you all had a blast over the weekend too. We were just talking the other day about a day or two ride/camping on the New River trail. Thanks for the fuel for the fire! |

I told Daddy that you really enjoyed messing around with his 55 Chevy. it warmed my crusty ol' gearhead heart to gently pop the hood and see your basic small-block sitting there, waiting patiently to make vroom-vroom sounds again. pls keep us all posted re: the Get the Chevy Running party. :-) FB&D |

I just happen to have a dedicated facility for '55 Bowties -- when ya'll want me to pick it up? You'd have to fight my Daddy for his '55. It has been one of his dreams to have that car up and running. I need to get the pictures of what it started out as. It's come a long way but still needs some work.

Trish and I went non-technical mountain biking along the Virginia Creeper... I wish I would have known. We were just down the road. On Sunday one intersection sign pointed to Dumascus only a few miles down the road. I got on my bicycle last week with the child seat on the back. Luke and I rode to local diner for dinner. I need to do that more often. |

BadWeB '55 Bowtie party I want in!!! My only problems is that I will be out of town from August 23rd through September 3rd for the Harley-Davidson 105th. Hopefully Elton John won't be making an encore performance... If my unavailability makes it a hassle, please go ahead without me... 1313 P.S. Even though some may call me a nut - I know what you are saying, What do you mean some? - I'm was back up to my old tricks yesterday...
Just an old race header going to CA. to be put on a '98 S1W Battle Of Champions bike, is all. |

Sad part Brankin, that plate on the M2 expired May 2007...the 2008 never got put on the bike and I've not bothered to get the 2009 sticker yet. Maybe we should have a M2 party first. |

Pat and me will be spending the nights near Jerry's place the 30th, and 31st. Carlos, it looks like I won't be able to make it for the WV rally. Sadly to say, but I'll post on the thread later today. |

That's a shame Twig. It was a lot of fun last year. Buellotoberfest is going to be more interesting this year. It seems that a local dealer has scheduled the KTM demo truck at TWO the same weekend. |

Here's pics of the only one I've seen so far. And, yes, the pic was taken at the BORG MSM in Germany this past June.
That direct head on view is something only a 'Mother' could love... 1313 |

Twig - looks like we'll be at Daddy's place over Labor Day Weekend as well. We'll catch up before then and make plan a plan with FB&D. We have a lot of work to do, but we'll plan for one day of riding. |
