It's about 60 degrees here at the moment, sunny, and clear. I was sitting at a stop light waiting to get on I94 when a youngish fellow (had perhaps a decade on me) pulled up next to me on an Ultra. I nodded a good morning to him, which he returned and said, "It's a beautiful day to be alive, isn't it?" I agreed heartily, and he followed up his comment with, "I think I'll call off today. I'm too WELL to go to work!" The light turned green, and laughing, I tooled up the entrance ramp. I wish him well, and more fervently wish I could have taken his suggestion. It's a beautiful day, and I certainly am too well to be stuck here. |

Good for you, I got told to myself by an 8 year old this morning as I was attempting to sort out a domestic. The ride home was nice though. |

Doh! Kids these days...talk like that and I'd not have sat down for a week! A few minutes later on the freeway I was forced to test the Uly's braking capability as some moron gawkers decided that seeing what the police lights were for was more important than not getting rear-ended. -=rolls eyes=- A deep breath and remembering the big grin on that guy's face got me sorted out again before I'd gone another quarter mile. It truly is too nice to stay mad. |

It is a very nice day. Right now it's not too awful hot, think I'll head up to T.W.O. in a little bit. Hammer, I don't see how you do it, day in and day out! |

Are you having any luck with MJ's cases, Tony? Will she rise again (slowly but surely)? |

I was soooo close to calling in sick and staying home today. I could have got my new rear tire mounted and spent the afternoon breaking it in. But foolishly I came to work... I wonder if they would notice if I left right after lunch. |

I'm spending this evening relaxing with friends at a coffee shop up in Royal Oak, coming home and packing some, packing tomorrow morning and then spending the rest of the day at a friend's place for a BBQ. Sunday morning I head up across Big Mac to camp for a week, and tool around on the Uly. Hopefully the weather up there mimics what we've had down this way the past few days - it's been gorgeous. Very mild for August, thankfully. |

Even thought my bike isn't crashed, I gotta go with Spidey on this one. I'm stuck at work, and even if I weren't, it has done nothing but rain here lately. The weather has been really strange this summer - so many violent storms coming through. |

I was thinking the same thing last night, when my wife picked me up after work. Then a girl in a sedan tries to forcefully pull out in front of us from a side street, and flicks us off |

Some days when I'm on the bike, I smile a big smile and say to myself, "It's a good day to be me". I'm having one of 'those' today... so far! |

It is a nice day. Just got back from doing a loop. New pavement on a good stretch of HWY60, those coming for Buelltoberfest will love it! |

I've said it before. My Buell makes my day suck less. That being said the wife is off today so I was able to leave early and took the long way in. My 20 mile commute turned into around 40 with 8 miles of twistiness. I scrubbed the new Pirelli in nicely. My thermometer on the porch shows a nice 73 degrees... |

We should all call in with a case of Rectal Myopia - a condition where you can't see your ass coming in to work that day. |

...well it ended up good anyway. Just got back from some country cruisin' and went through a local tunnel where all the high schoolers hang out and where I once could be found a time or two. The place is covered in paint and I found my name still at the top of the tunnel after 18 years. It's the only time in my 35 years that I have signed my name "Mike". I was standing on the cab of my dad's truck and I couldn't reach out far enough to put Michael and or course it would last 18 years. Oh and I had to do the obligatory engine rev and horn blow before I exited out. That 135db Stebel Nautilus was pretty loud. |

Since when is 60 a nice day? It'd be nice right about now. 100o with 98% humidity gets really old, though I'd rather fry than freeze. |

60° on my work ride this A.M...."snug as a bug" .......with full gear. Coming into town, watching the left mirror, I merged into the left lane at the exact same time as a bitch in a little shit box, about 3 car lengths behind me. She layed on the horn like I had just butted in. WTF, first one the red stop light wins? Sure enuf, later down the road, she passed me on the right to turn into the left turning lane at the hospital. This happens neart every day. Who ever is being an ass in this mile section of road is most always a nurse (in pajamas uniform)and passes on the right to immediately get into the left turning lane. They have the first green at that corner while everybody else waits. They don't lose a thing by staying behind me. What is it with nurses???? The other two lanes are straight thru and I stay out of the right lane so I don't block the people that want to "turn right on red" to get to their job at the prison. |
