I want black bodywork for my M2 and it looks like the easiest way may be to get the bike painted. For just your basic (ie looking like stock) paint job, what would that generally run? Do I have to request a special paint because of the plastics? Thanks! |

Some people have said you have to use flex agent because it will crack if not. Other people have said it is not needed. I've been trying to find the answer myself, with no luck. |

I painted some of the plastic with just Rustoleum spray cans, and that was 1/2 year ago and it looks great with no cracks. I hope that helps. I also saved a bundle of cash. |

Bert, any special type of rustoleum? How did it come out? |

Hey Puddle it was just regular Rustoleum from Ace or Walmart. And the paint job was super. See my bike. I used the hammertone type. I have had people ask me who painted it and what kind of decal I used etc. I have painted cars, trucks, boats, trailers, bikes, and other things. I have a couple spray guns also. But this winter I did one of my bikes with a spray can just to see how it would look. Plus I did it in the winter in my basement. And I used 3M blue tape to paint the flames and then clear coated it. Well it still looks just as good as the day I painted it. |
