Many of you who know me know that I decided to end my best friendship b/c illegal activity on her part and I have been sick and off of work... so I go into work today to find I have been "re-assigned" from my contract position which is one of the steps before they s***-can you... so I go home where I have been stuck for a week... and decide to take a little trip cause riding always makes me feel better... |

"do you know why i pulled you over?"... no clue.... got a ticket for going 44 in a 25 school zone ... I didn't even see the school let alone the cop car.... jeeeeeeezuuuuuuusssss... |

I think it's interesting that the cop kept it JUST under 20 miles per hour over the limit, which, in many states, equals reckless driving and basically means YOU NEED A LAWYER (which I think is B.S.). I've seen this before: officers do the driver a favor by citing them for just under what would be a more serious infraction, even though they were certainly going 20mph over the limit. So, um, count your blessings? What was the outcome? |

Wait- let me get this straight: You never saw a school that's 5 miles from your place? I left the first post alone, outta mercy...but, you didn't SEE a school 5miles from your place? |

The interpretation of "when children are present" is up to the officer here in CA. Besides, I know I'm not one to be paying attention at 100% when I'm in a blue funk. |

I know very well about school zones as I drove taxi full time for four years without a ticket... also, I had never been down that road before by my house, not even once... so you know .... Whateeeever.... obviuosly I was a little distracted by an iminent layoff at work as well.... 19 over was the result.... they have to make thier small town quotas here... i never ever argue with a cop (Message edited by Whatever on August 02, 2008) |

Damn. Well, I was told by one cop who pulled me over to come back and talk to the judge because he'd put in a good word for me, and that I would likely get a reduced fine/points. I did so, and got a reduced fine, but I'm not sure about the points. What I DID discover is that traffic court is a churn-and-burn affair - there's no "chatting with the judge" (at least on the Eastern Shore of Maryland). You make your plea, you tell him/her when your last infraction was, and you receive your punishment. Then you got out to the clerk and pay. Pay to play - that's my newest motto, especially after essentially having my Uly rebuilt after a deer crash. Pay to play. Best of luck in your job challenges, Whatever. I work on contract too, and it usually sucks. |

Give her a break Tramp! Have you not had a bad time of it, and just wanted to vent, without hearing a bunch of non-advise, non-compassionate remarks? Sheesh man, you're a piece o' work. |

Glitch, back off. I offered intelligent advice to someone who's clearly blaming their woes on everyone else. If you can't handle that, or you're simply trying to score points with a female rider, take it offline. There's a difference between having a bad time of it, and blaming everyone else. I give you an "A" for predictability |

I give you an "A" for predictability If one is predicting a negative outcome from a comment one is about to make, makes the comment anyhow, that would make one a troll. Glitch, back off. Not gonna happen. I offered intelligent advice to someone who's clearly blaming their woes on everyone else. Wait- let me get this straight: You never saw a school that's 5 miles from your place? I left the first post alone, outta mercy...but, you didn't SEE a school 5miles from your place? How is this advise? If you can't handle that, or you're simply trying to score points with a female rider, take it offline. Score? Surely you jest. Take it off line? Get a grip Tramp. "Tramp. The new Rocketman and Dynarider of the badweb. " Rocketsprink- It's really trashy & little-girly to speak badly about people who aren't present to defend themselves. Glitch, your viewpoints about other baddwebbers are far too personal for a custodian. You're unable to handle folks responding with courteous honesty to threads. } |

You're unable to handle folks responding with courteous honesty to threads. You're one to talk, honesty and courtesy? I can't believe you even know their meaning. Where have I ever been dishonest? Maybe I haven't always been courteous, but it's always after I've been pushed, or trolled, but you know all about that don't you? (Message edited by Glitch on August 02, 2008) |

Have you guys ever met? I think it'd be fun to watch. Just havin' fun - don't take it personally, lol. besides school zone speed limits are enforced WHEN CHILDREN ARE PRESENT its summer the regular posted speed limit should apply Not always true - We have a number in my area that are 24/7/365. At 3am on a Sunday morning in July, you better not be going faster than 30mph. 5 over and you're snagged. Whatever - I've been in a slump lately as well. What helps is just to take a look around at the things that make you smile, including opuurtunities. |

As Freddie Prinze said: "If there are kids in that school now, you better arrest them because they're in there stealing typewriters." Of course, these days they'd be stealing the computers, right? |

Rocketsprink- It's really trashy & little-girly to speak badly about people who aren't present to defend themselves. What's to defend? They know it to be true. Sure they're reading this as well. Oh, and Greg(Dynarider) and I are friends, so do yourself a favor and zip it. You manage to interject your stupid, yes STUPID comments on just about every thread here. I believe it's you that needs to take a break. Get a life, and lighten up. Who appointed you the "Dr. Phil" of the badweb? Have you ever once commented on an entire thread without giving some one that posted on it crap? Your life must be a miserable one. And do me a favor, don't PM me with your idle threats. There are a lot of posts that I agree with you on. But then you come out of nowhere and make some rude, backhanded comment. Seems you may have some issue's of your own. Good-bye. |

Here's a hint, again... If/when our contributions here turn into personal critiques of others, it may be time to step away from the keyboard and go out for a ride. Advice is best given when asked for. Too often when advice, especially critical advice, is volunteered, it comes across as preaching, condescension, or arrogant belittlement. My wife has finally learned to just tell me to "shut up Blake; I'll do it my way." I aplaude her for it. Strong women rock! |

I think the point was that many things had gone awry at once and that does always suck; I've been there and can empathize. At the moment I'm selling off belongings so I can fix my bicycle and put tires on my wife's car |
