Why are they making all the pipes for this bike GP style? They need to be doing the underslung.... btw, I bought a D&D and I hate that thing...nobody wants me to ride in front and some guy at QuikTrip plugged his ears while I was pulling out last night lol. |

The only reason I can think of for not doing the underslung exhaust is the lack of a can that exits to the side. I think it looks pretty good and it would look killer on the white and blue 1125. |

I wonder what the lean angle is in right turns? |

Thats my problem with all the aftermarket pipes so far with the exception of the Sauron pipe. They just stick out to far!! That one looks like it would hit on right handers on the track for sure. One little tip over also and bye bye expensive pipe. I am waiting on the sauron pipe and ups, should be here today. Got Nicks pipe from him as he keeps getting tickets. (poor b.....d I know he loved that pipe) Thanks for the post though! Interesting colors. |

You ought to ping Serge at Glendale HD/Buell in parts - he has a really effective pipe mod that is totally underslung. Not commercially available just yet but it COULD be soon if he gets enough interest. I've seen it on HIS 1125R, seen the dyno pulls. It's a good one. I know the guy that owns this bike. He is a very nice guy that really knows his stuff. He used to be part of an AMA Superbike team. He is an instructor for Sportbiketracktime.com and for the Buell inside track pass. As a matter of fact that is how he came to love the 1125r is through riding for the inside track pass. I saw him ride it at Mid-Ohio on Monday and the pipe didn't seem to bother the lean angle. He was telling me that he could let the 1098's get a run on him going down the back straight and he could then blow by them and pass them with ease. It sounds pretty good to. But I agree with alot of people that I like the under belly exhaust. I think it adds something to the looks of the bike. |

Man, I hope the similarly designed Jardine doesn't stick out that far - I liked that one best so far. |

There is another thing to consider with a pipe like this. If you lowside it your swingarm will take a beating from the pipe being ground into it. Even with sliders I bet it wouldnt be pretty. Happy to hear about the 1098s even though I love Ducs. They never ran away from me either on the straights. That was with my stocker on also. The 1098r roasted me but it better for that price. That thing is a animal!! |

does HMF make a pipe for the r, or was this just a dirt bike slip on he put on the bike? |

This pipe is the prototype. I think that HMF is going to put it into production but I'm not 100% positive. |
