ASBN BBQ - yuppers you could even dye it black - just treat the pieces like an Easter Egg - exactly the same process. EZ |

Welcome P3 Pilot! Welcome White (y?)! (though you've been lurking awhile!) Have you ditched your charcol canister yet? |

P3 pilot? It would be downright funny if you flew a P3 as well as rode one. |

Hey, EZ... Aside from the obvious cleaning prior to dye dipping, is there any other kind of prep work to be done to the plastic? I originally wanted to repaint my panels flat black for that Rat look but with the dye I should be able to wet sand the panels dull then dye them black to achieve the same look without the inevitable paint scratches. Now that I think of it I could even use the old Easter egg dye trick and do graphics with crayon before dipping to have them show up afterwards... sweet! To think the dealer knocked off an extra $500 off my Blast just to unload it since no one wanted white. |

If you'll pardon my cynicism, but dying white to black? What a froggin waste There's lots of people who'll sell you damaged black panels cheap that will always stay black and look way better sanded or primed, etc. You pay the shipping, I might consider an even trade, Black for white. I've got an extra Battle Blue I'll trade you. I'll pay my shipping, you pay yours. |
