I know that forums often times reveal who's having problems and what the solutions are and I'm glad for that but my question is to all those here who have a great running 1125R. Are any of you having no trouble with your bike? No stalling, no surging, no misfires or stumbles? I'm sure someone's got a "good one" or are all the new 1125R's problematic? Thanks in advance for your help. I'm seriously considering buying a '08. BR. |

Mine runs great, always has since day 1. Only issue is the heat and I wrapped the headers, which surprisingly helped more than I thought it would. -Nick |

Mine fits your criteria...it is quite amazing how "refined" it has gotten in the last couple thousand miles (I just cracked 6K last week.) |

Mine is good. Very slight surge for the low, and a rare stall if you don't blip the throttle when pulling in the clutch to coast. other than that, it's great! |

Mine runs just about perfect. Very slight surge at about 3500. Only problem I had was with battery not being charged at idle when the engine was above 185 degrees. The reflash solved that problem. |

my average has stayed right @ 38mpg w/ spirited riding, oddly enough during my two track days i was still getting 34mpg wringing the bag out of it. |

Just got mine last week and love this bike... my opinion is that v-twins will surge a little down low and it does get warm on the seat. Overall the goods heavily out way the bads.. Good luck with yours!!!Im having a blast!! |

I've been without my bike for 1 night after taking ownership from the dealer. No major problems IMO. It does what I expect it to do when I expect it to do it. It makes the guys I ride with jealous when all they can see is my tailight in the curves. So definitely an A+ for me. |

I got a good one too. No bad running at all. No reflash. I do have the leaky DOT4 on the clutch cover but it runs fantastic! JJ |

Hey Tijuana, When did you get your bike back? Did you find the guy who stole it and break his arms yet? |

Hello all, if you've got a single problem DON'T POST. I'm looking for the lurkers or the occasional posters who have great running bikes. With that said, thanks to all who've posted. A couple of you who've talked about how much you love your bikes have posted elsewhere with running problems. Please allow others to post here in this topic. I'm reading all the others and I know that most everyone really loves their bike. Thanks, BR. |

#557 is a sweet running bike. Only problem I have had is riding in the rain next day the throttle sticks some but goes away in about 30 miles. The last time I was in the rain I parked it for a week after and it was a real pain in the ass. I could give it about 20% throttle and nothing and then hang on because its off to the races. I took the air box off and removed the bottom cover and sprayed all cables down with w-D40. Next day it was back to normal and a pleasure once again. If this happens again I think I will bring it to the dealer. |

Mine runs great, slight surge at 3500 and some expected heat which I will be curing with some ceramic coating this winter. The only other issue I have had is the front brake line bracket bolt jumped off the bike, and the front tire must be filled with helium or something. Every ride it seems to get smoother and smoother. |

Add Loretta to the list. Smooth as silk until she gets over 190˚, then a little bumpy. I'm happy. |

Add me to the list...Number 431 has no issues worth speaking about. Couldn't be happier with a stock motorcycle. Heck, I've even got a little excess heat from the frame in my back pocket for this winter, too! |

Reading some of the threads can be so depressing at times. Thanks for this one. FYI my 1125r is running just fine. Quirks...sure. Hasn't anyone read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance? Don't let your noodle get wrapped around the axle. Yeah I know it's just a book. And I couldn't even get through the whole thing. Enjoy the bike for its technology, if it breaks fix it. If it runs better above 3000 then don't let it go below 4000. Remember it's a GO FAST bike not a NO FAST bike. Get a blast if you want NO FAST. If it stalls, push the little yellow button again and it will start. When the battery dies...plug it in. And if it falls over, dust off your knees and lick your wounds. But by all means pick up the bike and ride on. With that being said...if I see you on two wheels rubber down I'll give you a wave. If your rubber up, I help you dust off but you gotta pick up your own bike. |

Mike, I don't know you. But I think I love you, Man. I know what you mean... haven't actually finished Zen and the Art... he was just narrating in-depth about "Phaedrus" (?) and then life got busy. Mine's running smoothly from about 3 grand onwards... wearing earplugs, it seems to run smoothly from about ZERO rpm! Stalls once in a while (didn't stall for me at the track, though), but never felt dangerous when it happened on the street. |

Then there's Jdugger with his 15K miles. He would have chimed in here to give thumbs up, but he's busy out riding. |
