Blake: When I went to check on adding "epost@badweatherbikers.com" to the good e-mail, I noticed there was a check box for "Show spam e-mails in Screened folder". Guess what, now those e-mails show up in the "screened" folder.
I checked each e-mail and clicked on the "This is not Spam" button. So they are in my Inbox and we will see if this will continue. Thx Neil |

For anyone who has Bright House... something must have changed/Glitched.. Might explain why so many people are having issues.. Roadrunner, Comcast, etc.. I fixed it by going to my web mail... |

From an "insider" on the outside looking in, it appears all of the major ISPs have universally updated their SPAM filtering. I had to reconfigure my email as well since PM's weren't getting to me today. They were as of last Thursday. Depending upon your ISP and email, it can be a user setting/preference, an ISP filter and/or a combination of both. |

Header information. I have all email to my BadWeB email addy sent to my gmail account. I've removed the email addresses to avoid the spambots. I have noticed that the spam activity has been through the roof for the past month or so. The ISP's are probably trying to fight back. BadWeB has never nor will ever spam. The email server that sends the PM's and emailings of board posts is firebolt.badweatherbikers.com, the IP is 216.254.92.92. Partial copy of header follows:

Ted, The webmail is the same as your regular email, just a different means to view it and before it is downloaded to your computer. Personally I don't use any resident email client on my own computers for years now. I use webmail exclusively. I recommend the same for everyone. Gmail is wonderful. |

One more try...
Dear Comcast Professional: I'm repeating my request from yesterday but with firebolt.badweatherbikers.com in place of badweatherbikers.com as the subject domain. Our discussion forum's user elected email is sent from the discussion forum at badweatherbikers.com via our email server at firebolt.badweatherbikers.com, all on the same server at IP 216.254.92.92. You last confirmed that our IP was not blocked, yet our users who are comcast subscribers are having their elected emailings designated as spam. The following is from one of your users "neils53@comcast.net": Blake: When I went to check on adding "epost@badweatherbikers.com" to the good e-mail, I noticed there was a check box for "Show spam e-mails in Screened folder". Guess what, now those e-mails show up in the "screened" folder. I checked each e-mail and clicked on the "This is not Spam" button. So they are in my Inbox and we will see if this will continue. Thx Neil Then he spent some significant time online with your chat service. They informed him that we needed to submit this blocked provider request form. We did so yesterday, and were told that our IP was not being blocked. But maybe the block is on our email server not the IP, so I am resubmitting with that information. Primary domain of discussion forum: badweatherbikers.com (on stand alone dedicated server). Email server domain is: firebolt.badweatherbikers.com Owner of domain(s): me, [redacted 100% complete contact information] Our email server: firebolt.badweatherbikers.com IP: 216.254.92.92 Our ISP: WestFith.com Our SysAdmin & server admin: Mr. Brian Case Brian's email: [redacted] We do not spam! We HATE spam! Please remove any/all impediment to email from our server. Our discussion board is very active and does generate a LOT of email, but it is ALL intentionally elected by the recipients in relation to our discussion forum at www.BadWeatherBikers.com, a site that has been online for a decade now. Thank you for your consideration, Blake Rudy Owner - BadWeatherBikers.com [redacted contact information] |

Things are really FUBAR at Comcast (at least with my account) I sent an e-mail to the "abuse", "support", and, "ecareonline" departments that have contacted me and the copy that was sent to my e-mail account in question was filtered and moved to my "screened mail" folder. So not only are BWB posts being filtered but, e-mails from myself are being filtered!
I just have to shake my head and........ |
