I have a BUNCH of pics from Alchemy, just been so crazy busy with work (maybe taking basically 2 weeks off in a row wasn't such a good idea) NAHHHH, had a great time at Homecoming. My big show for the year is next week, maybe when I get back from that I'll get Alchemy's pics "BadWeB-able" and post them. BTW, anyone going to Carlisle Bike Fest tomorrow (Sat). Supposed to be some kind of "street fighter" parking/show area. I'm looking to do the Teresi Dyno Drags as well. XB9er is rollin' with me. Should get there around 10-10:30. |

Toona, I was planning on it but can't make it. We are driving my son to Long Beach Island to stay with a friend for a week. I would dig seeing you do the drags. That should be fun to watch. In other news, my employer just announced a reorganization and I will know Monday if I have a job beyond June 2009. Looks like early retirement is comin a knockin'. Doin some major cyphering this week. Then, last night a heavy (29 lbs) ceiling fan fell from about 17 feet (ceiling is about 20) right into the middle of our living room. We had turned off the fan and left for about 1 hour to return and find it sitting in the middle of the room. The bottom is crushed but it hit such that no blades were damaged. It missed all the furniture and fell on a rug so the floor was not damaged. The set screw on the down pipe allowed the fan to unscrew off the down pipe. The electrical wires probably dampened the fall a bit. This is 3 years after installation. I am more than a bit amazed that this would fall when no one was home and it was completely off. Minutes before we left we were right in that area. It could easily have killed anyone it hit. |

Back from Carlisle: We squeezed a 2 hour trip into 3 on the way down. I've come to the conclusion that Harley Owners have no desire to run anywhere near the speed limit, doesn't matter if it's 25/35/55/65 arrgh. The Street Fighter "Fest" was, ummmm, well, umm, LAME! The organizer wanted another $15 to "enter" their "competition/judged event" after paying $8 to get in the gate. There might have been 10-12 bikes "entered" One CityX was sitting outside the tent, it was the coolest Street Fighter there. When we got there (11:00) we parked next to the Dyno Drags. Walked over and registered to run. Waited for the first 2 bikes to run, then we went on the trailer. Only to find out that the Buell wheelbase is too short for their set up, so no runs. BUMMER The ride home was much better, XB9er and myself, with only 1 other HD made it home in the normal 2 hours. Once we split off from the HD, the wick was cranked WAY UP. Triple digits were seen and more than once Kinda made up for the missing Dyno Run. I have a few pics I'll be posting on the Quick Board, make sure you check out the redneck hot tub, worth the price of admission |

Alchemy, wow, let me know how the job turns out. WOOOOOW, whooo da thunk it, about the ceiling fan crashing down. That could been REAL bad. Glad no one got hurt, speaking of getting hurt, anyone hear any updates about Ratbuell from HD of Frederick? |

Smiley1eye and I were at Carlisle on Saturday. We saw 8 other Buells up there, in the land of Harleys and Ricers...wow, I still don't know what everyone's fascination is with having a bike that is EXACTLY like everyone else's. Toona- did you see the "Buell" in the judging tent? It was a Buell engine, but the rest of the bike the guy built himself- had a really neat tuber frame. Smiley! Post pics! (Please?) |

Kyri, Yeah I saw it. Can't imagine the time in the fab work on the frame, 4 link rear and sheet metal. The only thing I didn't understand was using a non Buell fork assembly. I do have a pic of it, just need to resize. |

toona says; >squeezed a 2 hour trip into 3 on the way down< You went down and got on rt81? Better to take rt34 thru New Bloomsfeild. Takes you right to the back gate. I had to work 6 days so did not make it. The year the idiots from OCC were there they stopped ALL traffic in Carlisle to let their suv convoy thru town! What is the world coming too???? Did go over to State College's "Last Cruise". I imagine I saw some of your hot rid grills there. Did not se any Buells. Including my own due to taking nephew along. mark61 |

Notice the belt and tension pulley... which might explain why Buell can patent the ZTL but not that little gadget! |

Theres a few more, like all the Buells! But I still need to re-resize them to fit the 71KB limit that this forum unreasonably restricts me to. MORE TO COME. |
