what is the size of the upper tube on s3 forks? anyone bored out m2 triples? thanks in advance! |

not enough room. You'll have to get S1,S2,S3, or X1 trees to use the S3 forks. You'll have the figure out some sort of mounts for the guages and run clipon handlebars if you use S2 trees though. |

I may be wrong, but I believe that the tubes are 54mm. M2's are something like 43mm. |

That's correct, PP. The inverted tubers are 54mm upper and lower, and the M2 is 43mm. |

Hey guys, the casting is exactly the same, my brother-in-law opened out the upper triple from my M2 to fit. I can post pictures if you like but they work just fine. He said the clamp tried to chatter a bit and he had to stick a spacer in the cut (so he could tighten the hardware up) to settle that down, but it wasn't a big deal at all. When I picked up some X1 forks for my bike I only got a lower clamp with them and couldn't scrounge up a used upper. -Mike |
