To me Buells have always been ridden by guys that don't want to conform to the rest of the sportbike crowd, guys that enjoy being different from the crowd......kind of like an Anti-gixxer bIG FAT +1111111 on that comment. I couldn't agree more. |

I do not mean to say the 1125 series will be failure. I believe it well sell. What I attempted to say was it will not dominate the market like it/they could have and I really would live to see an American Manufacture of most anything hit one out of the park. Please excuse my in-articulation, I know I can be brash. |

For the record I plan to get a white 1125R after I graduate in December. It looks great in white IMO and the hero Blue wheels are the ones I would put on an 08 after painting it white. It's great did all the work for me. Anyway I can see how people think the 1125 R and CR are ugly. They are growing on me for sure and I do like the CR. The pods are such a central design point they almost look good. To help Brad's point I bring in the FJ Cruiser. I always stare at those ugly things. If I get caught staring I give a quick thumbs down to make sure the stupid Toyota owner didn't think I was admiring his or her ugly ass ride. Ugliest currently produced vehicle on the planet the FJ is. Aztec is worse put at least it is not in production. Also I would like to add, as I am already ranting on Toyota, they if you put a Blue Oval or a bowtie on the FJ I guarantee people would call it ugly. Toyota sure has a powerful PR dept. |

I own a Buell, I really have big place in my heart for Buell. I've had my fingers and toes crossed hoping that the new line up would blow me away........I am sadly disappointed, almost sick! The CR is hideous. I am absolutely dumbfounded that they would release a bike even uglier than the 1125R.....this is a very sad day in my life, and I mean that in the utmost seriousness. |

Really. When I saw the CR, I sat for a long time, the bottle of pills in my lap, studying them. Everything had lost its luster. It didn't seem worth going on. I told my wife we would be divorced; I called, and quit my job; I disowned each of my children, in turn. But when it came time to consummate my disappointment, I put the bottle away. There's always next year... |

Help may be on the way. Maybe that's why Harley bought Augusta?

Yeah, maybe Buell can start building cookie cutter motorcycles like everyone else. As beautiful as the MV's are as soon as another company starts copying them, they instantly become mundane. Slab sided sportbikes are a dime a dozen. Buell's are fine as they are and if someone wants an MV, they sell those too. Of course they aren't in the price range that the current Buells are but hey, they sure do look nice. |

Saw the Benelli at the dealer today. Most definitely there are some common themes between the Buell & Benelli. Headlight, radiators. |

Hi, it needed some days, but last night I waked up and suddenly I understand the whole story behind...... Benelli used pictures from the 1125R launch in Laguna Seca to style the TNT. Unfortunately they step on the "cut away" model for the press. (-:

"Half the people here work for Buell, or Buell Dealers. Not to much room for decent." Brad, Any credibility you might have had just evaporated. |

"Help may be on the way. Maybe that's why Harley bought Augusta?" I like styling of the MV's wheels and SSSwingarm, and the four tailpipes look cool albeit at the cost of handling and weight (performance). Other than that, it's just another IL4 motorcycle trying to look like a spaceship via plastic molding and goofy fuel tank faceting. (Message edited by Blake on July 28, 2008) |

I agree, Blake. I've never really looked at an MV and saw anything breathtaking. |

I agree 100% with Madav8tr. I could have bought any bike I wanted, and in fact I was at first looking at a Triumph Daytona 955i... But then I heard about Buell. This was before the 1125R and so I bought an XB12R and it was the perfect first bike for me. The unique Buell styling is a bonus to me because it DOES NOT look like every other bike out there. I didn't care much for the new 1125CR front fairing at first, but it's actually growing on me and I'd like to get a look at it in person and even test ride it to decide how I feel about it. I didn't like the 1125R's radiator pods at first, but now that I own one I really like them and feel that they integrate very well into the bike and contribute favorably to its design. |

Simi Valley Harley/Buell/Benelli has 'em both right next to each other. Go see them up close and personal and decide for yourself. |
