Suzy, To get spring loaded pegs you only need to replace the mounts. You can keep the billet pegs. Part numbers are at the very top of the page. Total cost ~$15. | ||

Thank you for the info Chrisg! I will definitely look into it! My Corbin seat still isn't broken in, but it's only been a week. It seems to dig in to my legs a bit and isn't any softer than the factory seat. So far, I am not very happy.  | ||

Hi Suzy, I had a Corbin seat on my shovelhead for over two years and 20,000 miles. That piece of s#$% seat never ever "broke in". Of course YMMV, Andrew | ||

Hey Suzy: Your Corbin may take longer than a week depending on the temp and miles. Mine really broke in during a 200 mile trip in 80+ temps. I had the same initial complaint as you with it digging into the inside of my legs. It seems to round off and contour with time/ miles. Later Neil S. | ||

Just got my CRG bar end mirror from A.S.B.,the 3"diameter style.I used the optional bar end adapter to put into a set of Duc. monster alum. bars on my M2(bars have 1/2"i.d.+only work with Buell's skinny tank)Mirror works perfectly,no vibration at any speed above idle,arms or shoulders are totally out of mirror view,objects in mirror do appear farther away than they are though.A.S.B. even sent 2 little plastic plugs for the old mirror mounting holes. | ||

Oh no! It has started... Just ordered some crossroads bars, grips, and a tank pad for my M2. Already I'm thinking about what my next "upgrade" will be. Hmmm! Exhaust, air cleaner, tach kit, custom tail. Decisions, decisions. Hopefully will have the parts by Saturday (hint, hint sponser). I have a question about the pro series seat for 99-02 cyclone M2. My wife hates riding on the back with me because the stock seat is so uncomfortable, even for short distances. Is that seat significantly better for the passenger? I know it has a little more passanger padding but will it make the difference? is it worth it? Or should she just wait untill I'm 65 and start riding Goldwings with La-Z-boys on the back. I'm fine with the stock seat, I'm just trying to make it a little more comfy for her. | ||

Jim in SB: did you ever find a solution for 7/8" bars on the S2? I'd really like something more adjustable (I have the touring bars on mine), and the vastly increased selection of controls, grips etc. Henrik | ||

I've got the Profi's. The racer version, without the risers would be a bit too racy for me. But if that's what you are looking for, don't even hesitate. They totally rock; that's a good price. Very good quality. | ||

Yes they are the Racer version Any size under 42mm is $110 from Wild Hair. I've been thinking serious about clipons because the Clubmans though nice aren't quite to my liking. I will have to flip my headlight brackets over but that's easy enough. | ||

I just called Wild Hair and ordered a set of Racer clipons. Nice folks, the only bummer is that it will take 2-3 weeks to receive my clipons (they have to come from Germany) but they did take my Email address to keep me apprised of their progress. Funny thing I was the second person to call today for Clipons for a Buell | ||

I never considered getting new bars, but now that I have a need for them I have to make a decision fast. I don't want to go stock, because it's boring...I love the look of clip ons but never rode with them before. Opinions on how they feel and any added strain on the back? | ||

I've got the Crossroads bars on the X1. 3" forward, 2" lower. No strain on the lower back, just added weight on my hands which makes steering feel strange. At highway speed, the wind holds me up so the weight on the bars lightens up and I can steer better. Clip ons would be much more drastic. Steering with that much weight on the bars = less control unless you are lying on the tank. Save them for the racers, you won't like them for the street. Good to hear you are ok and intact. | ||

Suzy... I dropped you an echo. The bars on my M2 were a good fit. Not as drastic as the crossroads, not as mundane as the stockers. One thing, the company I dealt with was slow as molasses in the dead of winter. The bright side is there are more than him out there making the things. Any questions pop me an echo. Loki | ||

Suzy, I've got Crossroads bars on my X1, and love 'em to death. I took care of the instability issues (thanks Blake & Phil U. {G.P.}) by lowering the preload on the rear shock. My back doesn't get sore, but there is a lot more weight on the wrists. Also, if your neck gets sore from looking up too much (caused by the new riding position) you might wanna get something less extreme. Push ups are a great cure for physical "obstacles" ecountered when switching to clip-on bars. | ||

I just purchased a 98 M2 that the previous owner put the larger fuel tank on but left the stock handle bars. These bars hit the fuel tank. Any recomendations on a replacment bar that will clear and not need any changes in the cables? | ||

Someone please tell me that the fat tank is not the replacement for the '98's with bubbling decals. I just put Crossroads bars on my '98 and I'm waiting for a replacement tank from Buell to fix my bubbling decal problem. I know the handle bars will hit a larger tank since they hit the smaller one right at the stops. Kevin | ||

I'm planning on getting the Banke Foot Peg Riser Kit soon. This looks like a billet plate that uses the stock mounting location and the swingarm/isolator mount to place the foot pegs and controls 3/4" rearward and 1 1/4" higher. I used the keyword search utility to read everything posted about them. Can anyone point me to a picture or give any feed back on this item? |
