Hi guys. I have found zilch as far as dyno tuners and good maps for my 2007 xb9r with micron exhaust and racing intake. I am so frustrated with not being able to ride the bike without horrible AFV readings or popping through the intake that I am considering trading it in for a different one. Does ANYBODY have a good starting map for my bike on ECMspy? You guys are my last hope. |

Try posting this in the XB section. Seems a lot of people who WOULD have some answers for ya don't read the KV The Knowledge Vault is a great idea, but a lot of questions go unanswered here... |

Not to sound like a jerk, but put it back to stock if you want a turnkey experience. If you want a project, it will take some work sometimes. Fortunately, most of it has been done for you already. Al Lighton and others (my apologies to others involved for not remembering who) spent a staggering amount of work in a *very* methodical comparison of exhausts for the XB's, the exhaust shootout. Searching the knowledge vault is sometimes painful, and this is a worse one then normal... the problem is that the question has been beat to death in a bunch of different topics, so the search space has too many "hits". Kinda like fishing for catfish in a pond full of bluegill... you can't get the nightcrawler down and intact long enough for the catfish to find it, you just keep catching bluegill. So anyway, I think what you are looking for is here: http://www.americansportbike.com/ Half way down the page is the shootout report. I bet your exact setup is in there. Al should be able to help you get a map, if he is still even developing and trying to sell them now that they are so easy to bootleg. I would have thought that whoever sold you the Micron would have helped you get a map that works. I'm suprised Micron themselves (though now going out of business) didn't have a map available. Its a great pipe, and was one of the best in the shootout. ftp://ftp.americansportbike.com/outgoing/XB_Exhaus t_Shootout_Test_Report.zip |

Pushrodracing campaigns a 9R in the Seattle area. Maybe check that out. ??? I don't know them but maybe you could find out who tunes for them if you don't want an off the shelf map. Just a thought. |
