Hey everyone. I just bought and took possession of these handlebars from Magnanpi. I was just curious if anyone knew what kind they are. They look like Crossroads bars but have this Buell stamp on them. Also I noticed that they were welded where the bars attach to the center piece. I thought the bars were suppose to be separate and held in place with the two allen head bolts going through each. Regardless they look nice and will be going on the bike and for $75.00 i don't figure I did to bad on em. Anyone?

I think that they were Buell Pro Series bars that were made by Crossroads and the welds were added. The welding doesn't make much sense, I had to replace the center section after a crash when I was using Crossroads bars. |

Hey Eric, whats up...be home soon..... I have seen a couple sets here and there welded. From what I remember, seems some people had trouble with the srews backing out, or the threads getting tore up, dont remember which. I trashed a set in a wreck as well, and honestly, the only thing that wasnt bent, was the right bar itself, the center was toast. Chase |

The threads on the inside are toast, Thanks guys for all the information. I am curious though as to mounting, Do they go inbetween the handlebar clamp? they seem a little thick to do so but if you don't do it that way there is no way to mount the gauges. |

Yes, if you want to mount your "dash" in the stock location and such, the plate sandwiches between the clamps. In fact, there is a pair of washers that should have come with it, that need to be mounted in there as well. These are mine...(click pic for a bigger pic) Chase |

Thanks Chase, I am going to do almost the exact thing with these. First I am going to get them powder coated black then re thread the holes and just mount them on top of the lower clamp. I have an aftermarket front fairing/headlight for the bike so I might as well make a custom gauge pod for it like you did. thanks for the pictures and your bike looks mean, Hope mine turns out half as good as yours looks. |

Yeah. Used to have a set of these before Feb 06 incident... Then, a certain member kicked me a set of the K&N clubman bars, since they didnt right... so, I flipped them. Anyway, recently came across a great deal that I couldnt refuse on this set.... Now, I just need to find a V-rod headlight..., adn I think I can call it done.. Yeah right, we all know how that works... Chase |
