I've never lived anywhere cold enough for snow to settle, let alone have a blat on a Snow Ski, but I watch Winter X and think that looks like fun. Wouldn't it be cool if you could just fit wheels to them. Very good fun. After 1 tank of gas it's quite hard to ride, but when you nail a corner it's a thang of beauty. Another few days will tell. It's where Bike meets car and it's more like an open wheel sports car than a bike. 990 Rotax Fitted with a race pipe. Did I mention fun? |

How long did you ride it for? Took me about three hours to really find the mojo. |

Looks like it uses the same vendor as Buell for the mirrors and headlights and definatley stole the XBR fairing healight layout. These things are very very popular. I'm seeing more and more of them. I do like this color scheme, but really need to ride one before giving opinion. |

I rode it at Americade last year they have all of the people take a breathalizer test before you get on, not that I would drink and ride anyway. It was tooooo much work to ride it. 2 wheels are so much better. All push pull steering, leaning was totally out of whack. I'd rather ride an extreme chopper with the fat rear wheel. K |

I saw a yellow one up in the twisties at Suches, GA on Tuesday. An older guy was riding it, said he was known as "Pilot Bob" (some of you 3%'ers may know him). Looked like he was having a blast on it. |

Yeah - I had to go through far more paperwork for this vehicle than any other I've tested. They are a complete mind fart to a motorcyclist for the first several hours. When you get to grips with 'it's a car - not a motorcycle' it's easier. I understand what you say about the steering - I find I have to work against the road camber a lot. Even more so 2-up. But when the penny drops it's a hoot. |

I drove a couple of them last year. Found that if you drive it like a snowmobile or atv it handles very good, but if you just sit there....Its touchy!!! Great burnouts!!! |

not very long Dave I had only a short test ride but I didn't care for the feel of the front end to me it was like the feeling of a quad instead of a motorcycle at least I can't run over my own leg with a spyder |

Question: Do you need a bike or car license for this? (in the US). Dave what's required by you? |

I think it has a foot break that controls all, just like a car. I have seen one here in the Huntsville area. It looks like it would be fun once you get the hang of controlling it. But with a 3 wheel configuration like that, I would want to be much lower in the saddle, more like the T-Rex setup. |

Yep - accurate, brumbear. Apparently the can have hand or foot brakes - This unit has linked foot brakes because the importer 'is trying to get them approved for use with car licences'. I don't mind the foot brake. Some of my contemporaries were disappointed in the brake set up but were keen for a burn when I'm done. At the moment it needs a full bike licence. |

Nah - Todd (Bloke with Coffee Cup) is an 'A' Grader. He does the light speed work. I do the large motorcycles, and all the Triumphs Harleys and Buells locally. |

I've seen a yellow one around here now twice. Both times going the opposite way on the freeway - I'd love to catch up with the person and ask them what they think of it. |
