Hey Jettdawg, I recently convinced my wife to use Mozilla/Firefox as our browser so I went to see what add/ons they had. I found SamePlace and the reviews looked good so we're giving it a try. I may still drop you a line if something comes up, thanks for the info. |

Funny but doesn't warrant a new thread... Anybody need a set of OEM pegs? Check out this awesome eBay deal! Buell Front Pegs, no Reserve... no sense either. |

Wanted ASAP please ... Looking for a 1998 S3T owner with a digital camera. Here is what I am looking for (and yes I have a manual). I just installed a new aftermarket oil tank I bought from Al but don't recall where some of this stuff connects as it was several weeks when I took everything apart, so I need some in focus PICTURES. 1. How and where the CLIPS (clip to) on the REAR brake line? I have 2 clips on mine. 2. Pictures of the routing of the rear brake line, exactly what the route is. 3. Would like a picture of the "lower part" of your oil tank (installed of course). There a hanger of sorts that I think the brake line hooked onto. My aluminum take doesn't have the rubber bung in the lower right hand part of the oil tank. Thanks, -SD: |

Mr. Witt, If I'm not too late, hopefully a '97 if close enough and these are what you're looking for:
Let me know if you'd like another angle or a larger one emailed to you.

Hi Steve, Never thought to email you. <duh> Those are exactly what I needed. Care to email them to me at my COX address? Sure would like to have one or two of the rear brake control area, caliper and swingarm (left side of course). Thanks a ton Steve, -SD: |

Jim, I'll email a few pics momentarily, but the situation presented a photo-op, as I hadn't shot them together yet:
Wish we lived closer, so I could use your toys to shoot the Moon:

Humm, Never heard of that. That is the newer recall shock that was replaced the original. Believe that was sometime in 1998 or early 99. -SD: |

That was a replacement for the WP (exposed spring) but the Showa like you have with the small eyes was replaced in 00' with ones with big eyes.

HELP HELP HELP~~~WHEEL BEARING ISSUE!!! HELP HELP Well I just found out about the wheel bearing issue on the 2003 Firebolt xb9R!!! Now BIKER BOBS in Troy MI said they will pay for the wheel bearing but not the Wheel, Axle, Belt, Swing Arm, Belt Guards, many ex. or any of the LABOR!!! Does anyone have any info on the bulletin that was posted to switch from the black to orange??? and does anyone have any ideas? They won't even give me a good trade in $... I think this might have been the straw that broke the camels back... If this doesn't work out I will be buying a Victory for sure!!! |

My brother is trying to squeeze some power out of his new 08' Sportster. Since I have an S1W I don't know anything about the fuel injected bikes. He's got a V&H pipe picked out but isn't sure which way to go with intake and the ignition/fuel module/flux capacitor thingy majig. Whats the hot set up these days and who's running what with good success? Thanks. |

Hey, I'm new to this group. I'm considering trading my NEW Ducati GT1000 for a Buell XB12Ss. I was wondering if the Buell riders here think I'm crazy? I don't like the Ducati for the following reasons: 1 the suspension sucks - especially the front - not adjustable, oversprung and underdamped 2 the engine only sounds good if you are really into it over 4 thousand rpms - pipes to make it sound good are too expensive and not many options 3 it's very sensitive to ride - throttle on or throttle off, no in between - this combined with the really sensitive brakes make full concentration required at all times I ride on rough roads to and from work in Miami 15 miles. Getting to work is enough trouble without a tiring bike to add to the aggrevation. I've read a few comments about the buell xb12 having the same slow speed roughness, but the one I rode wasn't nearly as bad as my Ducati I'd really like to hear some opinions before I take the plunge - thanks |

Well I sold an older Ducati (88 Paso) and a 98 Triumph Sprint to buy an 06 Uly so I do not think you are nuts. |

Chuck - for the Sportster, go with whatever exhaust he wants (I recommend a 2 into 1 for power, but for the HDs the exhaust is as much a part of the fashion show as anything else...). You can go with the old "high flow" air cleaner which removes the backing plate and lets the filter (in the stock cover) breathe better, or get the new "heavy breather". Hypercharger is a joke, don't waste the money. Get either a HD Super Tuner (used to be called Race Tuner) that allows reprogramming of the EFI to match the goodies, or we've also had good luck with the Power Commander USB. The SuperTuner just allows more fine adjustments than the PC is all. No need to get into the engine - it's good to go right out of the box. |

Stick with the Power Commander, way easier to tune. Cannot do a Racetuner live, every change made is to the VE table not the AFR table and engine has to be shut off and restarted. PC can be done live and you can see what your changes do, about 2 -3 hours more to tune Racetuner. |

Hey, I'm new to this group. I'm considering trading my NEW Ducati GT1000 for a Buell XB12Ss. I was wondering if the Buell riders here think I'm crazy? Jeff- I suggest you post this on the "Quick Board"; you'll get more responses there. For some reason this "General Discussion" board doesn't see much traffic. If your roads are that rough, the Ulysses might be a better choice for you. |

Need help with a picture. If I remember correctly Buell produced a Red, White and Blue X-1. I heard they only produced 10, 1 for each Aircraft Carrier that were in service at the time. Thanks |

Hmm, in 99' there was the blue race stripe X1. In 00' there was the red race stripe X1. There were some S1's that were done in red white and blue. Although it would not surprise me since Buell has done a number of special comemrative models for different events, Police forces etc. Oh Court or Dave, a little help. |

Buell has done a number of factory one-off bikes. I have never heard of that one, it would not be hard to track down. The last time an X-1 and an Aircraft Carrier met was for a photo shoot with a stunt rider on the deck. I have all the photos buried somewhere. Court |

My only exposure with 1 of these bikes was on Ebay several years ago. I think it had white wheels, blue frame and red plastics. Hope this helps. |
