Generally turning the bars up 45 degrees works. Some bars may be less or more than that. You can also install risers of which quite a few are available (that would make those 'cheap bars' expensive), but it would probably need 2+ inches of riser to make the bar 'level'. You could also modify the locking mechanism (dont know how possible that is). |

Some will treat you like a real human being but get used to the rest looking at you like you've got 3 heads! I've seen dealers panic at the mere mention of the word Blast. |

I put a set of clubman bars on mine yesterday. The bars hit the tank and did not allow forks to lock so I put in a riser that moved the bars up and forward. Works perfect for me now. And the bars lock. Clubmans were $25 and I bought the risers off a used bike for $10. |

I bought them from a local motorcycle shop in San Jose CA. One of the guys just happened to have a set on an old parts bike in back. I got really lucky :-) I was shopping around for some. Mostly motocross stores have them. The one I was set on was Tusk Universal Handlebar Riser Kit from http://www.rockymountainatv.com, $20 new. It goes up but not back. Pretty nice for $20. Genmar makes a lot of versions. Look up 'universal risers + genmar' and you'll have a bunch to look at. Blast has 7/8' bars. |

Do they make those risers for 7/8" to 7/8"? |

considering getting these clubman bars - would 1 inch risers be necessary? I noticed Uberblast said he had to move them forward as well, I assume it would be a set of risers with 2 screw holes on the top for clamping the bars and 1 screw on the bottom for attaching to the bike (where you would screw it into the more forward hole on the bike..at least that's what it looks like) Also - anyone know where to get a pdf of a 2003 blast manual? Thanks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Black-Cafe-Racer-Ac e-Clubman-bar-7-8-xs-650-750-850-/330572703951?pt= Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf7ab28cf# ht_4200wt_730 |

You could just get another set of Blast handlebar clamps fliped and use them with longer bolts as risers - been done successfully. Don't really know if the offset is necessary. See my yahoo group, accessible through my webpage listed on my profile for the rest. EZ |

Am I crazy...wait don't answer that - but the more I look at those bars above from uberblast - the more I think they look like upside down and reversed stock bars with risers. Has anyone done that before? |
