Mayor’s Court f’d me, again. They moved my court date on me. It’s now 8/19, so I have to use my day off to go to court instead of leaving early for the West Va Buelly Rally. I’ll be up LATE Friday night for the ride as I have to leave after work. When are you NOBers leaving? I propose leaving the Cleveland area around 5pm Friday (8/15). It should put us at the campground later in the evening, but not so late as to bother people or have a PITA time setting up camp. | ||

It was fun Mark. As for the money thing, well poo happens. It's more of a "re-alocation of funds". I was thinkin about gettin a boat next year, that plan has gone the way of the Buell dirt bike. Next time you're up there I may have to bring the cage cuz the GF wants to check it out as long as her kid is with her dad that weekend. Either way I'll be up again. That was the first motorcycle race I've been to and I'm hooked. | ||

Sunday there's a Poker Run from Lake Erie Harley to the APL in Elyria. It starts at 10:30am, the ride starts at noon. I'll be there, look for the orange/silver flame XB12S | ||

I will be at VMD Sunday. Working the Bike Show, then some demo rides. If you haven't been to VMD you should make an effort to get there. I think it is the best motorcycle event in Ohio. http://www.amadirectlink.com/vmd/2008/ | ||

I didn't get to do the poker run due to a new doggie at home, but I turned in the pledges. I raised a hair shy of $300.00 for the Lorain County APL. I would like to thank Us Uly for his donation. My wife had no idea and it clicked Friday night what the check/envelope were for. Thanks, I owe you a beer. | ||

Went to Nelson's to see Wolfridgerider race. He's improving! There were two other Buells there too. They both did well. It was a nice day to ride out there. Anyone donating blood at Lake Erie Harley/Buell tomorrow? | ||

Hey Ben and Gene, Thanks for coming out! It was to bad they lumped the heavy weight bikes in with the middle weights but thats just the way it goes. I'm pretty happy that I passed a 1098 and a RC51 and kept them behind me til the end... but my ass was dragging and I had no idea they were that close behind me. Hope to see ya at the next one! | ||

OK, the WVa Rally is this weekend. Who is going besides me? I likely will leave Friday AM, maybe sooner, like Thursday, if I get too eager. It would be great to have another NOB to ride down with so I am flexible on the departure time. Here are two cool routes from my place: Route 1: 83 South to 16 to 60 to the fabled 555, triple nickel, to 50 to the campground. Route 2: 83 to 250 to 7 to 16 to the campground. Anyone interested? |
