I was wondering how the standard lightning bars compare to the wide bars on an XB9SX? That wide reach is actually really uncomfortable due to an old shoulder injury. Are the S bars narrower? Lower? Would that be a pretty easy swap? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks. |

If you do a search, I seem to recall a very extensive list of all measurements for handlebars including stock and aftermarket, I think. Check KV. It would have been in the bars, pegs, seats, controls etc. I can't answer your question, but that list might help also American Sport Bike has low bars for lightnings. Good luck. |

FWIW, I was told by the parts guys at a local dealer that the only difference is the color and the little motocross style bar across the top. Otherwise, dimensions are the same. I was also hoping to get something a little wider and higher, but the 9sx bar doesn't seem to be the answer. The bar from the Uly is quite a bit higher, not sure about wider. |

Thanks for the links. I'm not actually looking for something lower, just not so wide. I'll keep searching for the thread with the measurements, and let you know what I come up with. |
