I still own a Buell.. It's been a year since i rode it,and it's a damn shame. I'm going on my 3rd year running my own electrical contracting bussiness, and it's taken quite a bit of my social life. I have a crew of 8 men, and it can get a little frustrating at times. Good news is i quit smoking 6 months ago, it was about time i owed it to Andy to quit...i picked up smoking on the day he died, which was beleive it or not 4 years ago today. So it's all these weird coincendences that brought me here today. BWB has been in and out of my life for a long time, and now i owe it to myself to get back into doing some riding, some chatting, and hopefully rekindling some old freindships. And remember Andy...i do everyday. |

Hello, Hey,aren't you the guy that escorted Court to the Larz? Yeah,i remember. You were his bodyguard. You should do the "Headless Horsemen Run" over at Bear Mt./Harriman St. Park this October and bet out with a bunch of Buellers BTW,and sorry to hear but,who WAS Andy? + 1 on thinking about Andy. I met him at Homecoming a while back. Had a couple of great rides with him during that week. Good to see ya back Mikeyp. A lot of us old time Buellers are still hanging around. I really wanted to get up to Homecoming this year but it just wasn`t in the cards. But i`m still riding the s*%@ of my S1`s. Riding Those old bikes is better than therapy. Sure does a lot for my well being. Glad to see ya taking some time to get back into the swing of things. S1Eric |

Damn Mike! Great to hear from you again! I was going through some old BWB suff just after homecoming and came across some Andy stuff. Damn, I wish I had met the guy. Blow the cobwebs out of the ole S1 and take a ride in Andy's memory. Just watch out for the steps.... Brad |

One of the last times I saw Andy was at a Homecoming when I rode up on my newly acquired S2 and got into line for a run from Oconomowoc to someplace else. I got into line about 2 or 3 bikes back from Andy, he looked back over his shoulder and gave me a thumbs up and his Andy smile. Prior to that I'd been on the old Honda 450 since the M2 was otherwise detained out of state whilst insurance companies arm-wrestled over how to deal with it. Yeah, I remember Andy on a regular basis. Good to see you here again MikeyP. Congratulations on making it 3 years in your own business, I'm sure you'll continue to do well with it, you've got the tenacity to make it happen. Smoke tires, not tobacco. |

Yes, I was Courts Body guard. But it wasn't for his protection..it was for the sake of everyone else's. That man can talk! Whew! My bike should be up and running in a few weeks, so the run in Bear Mtn sounds like a good time. I'll post my cell in the latter of this post. It'll be the easiest way to reach me. Text me even...just tell me who you are. Grndskpr, yeah man i hear you...that would be insane if Cecil got on a Buell again! I'm tempted myself for a new 1125r, but it's just not doing it for me. (Will that get me banned here now? Not buying a new Buell? LOL!) I really want a Ducati....baaaad! Next year, it'll be in my garage...to many things going on with the bussiness right now. I just bought another truck, and if things are going the way they are, i might two more crews, and two more trucks! Eric, Rich! Man, it's been to long guys! It's good to know a few of you old timers are still out here. I don't feel so much an outsider.. Brad.. I'm going to go through all my old pics of Homecomings past, and post some up of Andy... I still have the very last pics of Andy that i took on that fateful day. He was posed in front of my RC51, and it's such a great pic of him. It's how i remember him. Mikej, thanks man! And i think your the one with tenacity bro! How long have you been posting here? Like 10 years? And please, no heavy breathing phone calls... 732-904-5339 |

I miss Andy. And I was missing you too Mike! How's the family? Along with the Andy pics, post some of your own too. You have a way of attracting all the high quality folks lurking here. If you can get Greg (Sleeper), Cecil (BrianH), Vic (Eeeeek), Alan (Choptop), Don (Seeu911) and friends all stopping back to touch base here, I'll help set you up with that second crew. |

I'm new here so I don't know Andy but the way you guys talk about him I'm sure he was a great person to know. Wish I had the pleasure of meeting him. Reading your post I noticed a few comments about Homecoming. What is Homecoming? I see MIKEYP lives in Jersey so I'm assuming it's in this area. I live in Bridgewater N.J. and I would like to go on a run with a bunch of Buelligans!!! |

Homecoming is the sometimes annual Buell gathering in Wisconsin and usually includes a trip to East Troy where the Buell factory is. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/ 291185.html?1216347067 = = = = = ps, I believe there is an event at Liberty in your region that you probably "need" to go to. Well well if it isn't the Porch Raider MikeyP himself... What timing... I have not really been on Badweb for years... I thought about homecoming this year but had to head out west to CO for a wedding... I have many fond memories of AndyS, MikeyP Cecil, Vik, Henrik, Court, Reg, Aaron, and too many other to list. I especially owe props to the NY crowd for showing me around the city when I had to fly out that way for work. They all made a special trip to show me the attractions and where to slip off to for a great meal. They treated me like family. I, as well as many others, have had thoughts of letting go of the past and selling my Buell for financial reasons but it is hard to sell something with so many memories. From my first homecoming with dyno shootout win and perfect track day, to getting all juiced up and thinking about stealing golf carts and taking some hot laps around the resort at the second homecoming, to having your Bike on the cover of the corporate Buell literature, to all the battle trax days, to the 100+mph wisconsin road blitzing with 20 bikes in tow, to hitting 130hp with my buell motor... when they said it could not be done. I have especially bitter sweet memories Of Andy Spiegal. Too bad life took him so soon but I am sure he is in a better place. Whenever I look at a shock or fork on my bike I think of him. Whenever I hit a sunset covered twisty road I think of him. He was a True friend to anyone and everyone. I still have my Buell but struggle to keep it around. It is paid for, but it would be nice to have a bike to ride the kids on or go on a weekend trip with my Wife. I cannot afford two bikes so it is one or another. If I do sell it and get a v-rod or touring bike or what have you, I will not be selling the memories with it. Go make you own! Have a great summer Torqd Frank Ammerman |

Blake, everyone's great man! I turned 40 back in December, and i still feel like a 20 year old...problem is there's never one around when ya need one! I still have Sleeper's and Cecils number. They turned into track junkies after Andy's death. They ride with a guy i know. He's a General Contractor in the winter, and in the summer he's a track instructor...hey, it works for him i guess. And it's cool to see i brought some of the riff raff out. Just remember who built this freekin place! Us old schoolers bitches! Madduck, nice of you to remember my 911 postings..can't believe it's coming up on seven years. Damn, where does the time go? Jim! WTF MAN!!!! You ever coming back east, or what? It would be nice to catch up. Is Henrik even around? What's his story? Oh and Frank...good times bro! You bring up some memories of, what i believe, where the best Homecomings ever...the ones we went too! I did some stupid things out there, but it was in all good fun...christ, it's amazing i'm still married....and alive! And don't ever sell the Buell. You'll miss it. Sell one of the kids, or w h o r e the wife out and buy another bike. |

Hey MikeyP (and everyone), Guess while the reminiscing is goin' on, I'll say hi! I haven't rode my M2 in some 5-6 years since the base gasket went (which means more than a base gasket replacement) at 27K mi. Since my wife got a shiny new Duc 696, I was finally able to snag her 01 Thunderstorm engine and pop it into my 97. I'm almost ready for a real ride, just a couple of more things to do (like brakes and new front motor mount bolt). Mikey, it's good to see that you still have yer Buell - I think you and Gary B are the only tuber riders I know anymore. Maybe we'll ride again soon! Here's to the Jewish Lightning, the most kind and generous person I ever knew! Cheers, Woodman |

Speaking of Cap. Does anyone know where he is these days. The last time I spoke to him he was in southern AL. I need to find him. If anyone has any contact info. have him call me at 615-476-9100 or email me at md80drvr@nctc.com. Thanks, Frank. |

IIRC Cap is in San Diego area. And Henrik actually called me at work yesterday so he is still alive and kicking. |
