It may seem to be a shock to some of you but I entered my first race and beat all of my competition!!!!!! Ok so it wasn't a REAL race but still fun. I am now the slowest guy on a Buell!!! The first heat and my competition was fierce!!!
At the halfway point I am smoking my rivals!! Well actually they are smoking me.....
The end of my heat!!
Now the finals!!! I am totally focused at this point!!!
Getting ready to go.......
The halfway point in the finals and it is a close battle!!!!
I now have my gameface on and start to put the pressure on my opponent!!
VICTORY IS MINE!!!!!!!
ahh it's good to be the king......
This was at a charity event for the Ronald McDonald House in Providence that my girlfriend wanted to go on. There were over 800 bikes at the event. In the parking lot we walked around and checked out the bikes. I counted 2 Buells, one of the two was mine. |

Well done. Of all the bikes I've tested now, my weapon of choice for a slow race would be a City-X. |

<----------------------Not the least bit surprised. Jim, you are an ANIMAL. Too bad the other guys thought they might have had a chance. Well, at least they know better now!! PS: Thanks so much for all your help at Home Coming. |

Keith the pleasure was all mine. We'll have to do it again sometime. Froggy I think that's what gave me the unfair advantage. |

So, now we have proof (there's a trophy out there that says so!) .. Buell is not only the fastest, best handling American V-Twin .. It's also the slowest, best handling American V-Twin.. Damn! Just be careful at the 'next' round.. I was in one of those and made it to the finals when I got ..uh.. "Cinder blocked?" by a ringer.. Yeah, a State Trooper on a dresser got to the middle of the 'track' .. and stopped cold for about 60 seconds. I ended up coming in forth.. I blame my suspension set up.. (we all know how finicky Buells are when it comes to suspension).. My crew didn't prep the bike for the rabbit hole in the last third of my lane and damned if I didn't bobble and have to drop a foot for that.. (you think I target fixed?) Maybe we should see if Damnut will start coaching slow ride.. and maybe some of us can compete at Jims' level some day.. |

That's very cool . . . I used to kick ass in slow races with my XLCR. The rider position on the bike made it quite easy to balance and it was fun to watch the competition go past as you sat there perfectly still. Looks to me like you won by a great margin . . . once again putting the 1125R on the podium! |

Thanks guys it very fun and can't wait to try it again. Wolf send my a PM and I'll send you the dancing stick man. I laugh my ass off everytime I see it. It has to be one of the funniest gifs I have ever seen but apparently Glitch didn't think so. Said it was in poor taste, I think someone needs to lighten up. I've seen much worse on this site. |
