I have a 1998 S1W with the "Race kit" which sets the rev limit to 6,200. What is the easiest, least expensive way to be able to set it to at least 7,000 RPM?

Thanks

I personally wouldn't know how to get it higher other than changing your ignition.

I just have to ask... why do you want it up that high? Are you doing some big upgrades and want to get further up in the power band? I only ask because as far as I knew, our 1200's cant handle too high of RPM (without some beefier internals).

Either way, I hope someone on here that can better help you will post up some info.

Nick

I am just starting to drag race with it. I have a shift minder that I want to set to 6,250 as the shift point.

If you have the race module, the retard function does not set in till just before 6800. Just past that it will cut a cylinder out.

any of the adjustable ignition modules will do what you are looking for... and you will be happy with the new adjustability you have as far as timing advance and what have you.

i have the crane hi-4e on my S2 and love it.

BOOM. The worst thing for our tractor technology twins are revs. Good luck and let us know how long it lasts.
