Well after the motor issue at Road America during my last race, I figured I was done for the season. However, after pulling the engine and removing the rear cylinder, I was rather surprised to see that the exhaust valve slapped the piston, bending the valve, causing it to stick open. So I didn't break a rod as was thought. Still isn't great, but better than the other possibilities! Some how an engine appeared in my garage this morning, meaning I can finish the season. Henry Duga has already been called and a new motor is in the works. A 12 with 9 pistons. Over the winter, I will be going to a full race chain/swingarm conversion. Next year is a whole new game! Pics of the piston where the valve smacked it. Obvious cause, I believe, is I spun a cam causing the timing to be f'd up. And a pic of the mystery motor. Already in the bike. I've been busy today!!

Quick! Now's your chance! I know a guy here who claims to be able to make your bike do at least 200 MPH! |
